Ack, erm, definately MR. Xan. While I definately want there to be a Mrs. Xan, I am not her. And she doesn't exist yet. And I doubt she'd like to be called Mrs. Xan anyway. And somehow I find it hard to believe that too many women out there are fanatically involved in an old Star Wars game, particularly one that was almost a cultish thing even when it was new. But since I know there are/could be a few such women, let me ask you this: do they live in SOUTH DAKOTA?!? That's right ladies and gents, I live in the middle of nowhere, a place so barren that I'm doing good if I change ten feet in elevation during a 100 mile drive. And if I see trees, I'm doing really, really good indeed... unless they are farmer trees, planted for a windbreak. Then it just confirms my worst fear:

They really do come in pink.

(Editor's Warning: that has absolutely no bearing on the subject at hand. Don't hurt yourself too much by thinking about it. And while I don't have an editor either, I think it would be cool. So long as they, erm, never edit anything. Yeah.)

If you're looking for really great quotes, watch some of the Firefly episodes. Those are some of the best one-liners I've ever heard. Even better is when they are taken in context. "I wish you a happy life and hundreds of fat children." ah... I crack myself up.

How about the rank of Jedi... It is, after all, a rank of sorts. And one of the original ones.
Well, I guess you're right but I was rather talking about military ranks...

lol, good sig. And BTW, Jahled has already stolen the rank of Jedi Knight, unfortunately...
Then just 'steal' Jedi Master when you reach 2,000. You can then even order Jahled around...

@ Xan: Dinochick's in Arizona, isn't she? Anyway, why don't you place your marker here?

I always thought it would be cool if there was a rank above Jedi Master... something really rare, somebody that not even the council could order around. Something like "Jedi Servent," which would indicate that you're a servent of the force and no one else. Or maybe the 'servent' would indicate that you've more fully given yourself in service to others, as all jedi are supposed to do.

My experience has been that long distance relationships are a tough way to go, and anybody who knows their geography would agree that Arizona is quite a distance to go for a date. Not to say Dinochick isn't cool (I'm just waiting for her to show up and say something funny about this post...), but maybe we'll start out with less than "Mrs. Xan" expectations  . Besides, I've, ah, already got someone in mind for that position anyway...

You sly dog  . As for Jedi Sevant- this strikes me as being remarkably similar to clergy, IE nuns and priests.:wink:

Hey, I live in Minnesota. I know all about "middle of nowhere".

I once knew a great man. Nothing got to him, and he always smiled. May he forever rest in peace, knowing fully well that his freinds shall remember him.

I don't consider Minnesota the middle of nowhere; there's too much there. Forests, mountains, even a large city (Mineapolis/St. Paul). In fact, I wouldn't mind living there. Course, I still understand what you're talking about. Minnesota is just more happenin' then South Dakota. The worst place though is Oklahoma. Now THAT is the middle of nowhere.

Isn't there something like Grand Master or something like that...? :? The rank Yoda and later Luke held as the highest of the highest masters of their respective Jedi orders...

After reading this thread I was disappointed to find that you had disappeared. Trej is another one that I would like to meet in the forums a little more often.

Yeah, I too noticed Trej was missing... :? The last time I reappeared for a stint, Scath was missing... I think we all take turns.

Trej is rather anti-BEAK, though, in the sense that he was more-or-less my archnemesis (though he was Scath's archnemesis when they weren't ganging up on me--they did that a lot...).

I noticed that actually...

Yeah, you're not the only one...

But they're like brothers (older, always-picking-on-me brothers) to me, so I have to be...cordial to them...

Dammit, where have that Vong and astromech got to?

SOCL IS BACK!!! SOCL IS BACK!!! SOCL IS BACK!!!

Nice to see you here mate. Where have you been? :D

Thanks for the welcome home, Mad. It's good to be back and good to see you, my friend! :D

Where have I been?... Well, let's say to hell and back, and then for a second go, too... Life has pretty much sucked for me, so when Scath sent me a message urging me to come back, I said, "Why the hell not? Better than blowing all my time and money on beer." So...here I am.

And nice to meet you, Xan. I'm sure we'll become better acquianted as time goes by...

Oh, and Mitth, I believe I am now officially back, though I'm not totally sure yet...
