Roba Posted February 3, 2003 Posted February 3, 2003 would it be worth overhauling the whole game and making it purely episode II orientated?
the_mask Posted February 4, 2003 Posted February 4, 2003 One TC at a time I did plan for a EP1/EP2 period TC, even before Igor had the idea for the Reloaded TC. There are some good models already available, as well as pics for characters, troops and fighters. The only problem I've found so far is, that there are not enough types of units. Ships, for instance : the Republic cruiser, the Nubian, Dreadnought, VSD, ISD (late), , the Trade Federation ships, but we have over 30 shiptypes and I don't know, if the engine will allow using less. Fighters could also be a problem: Z95, Y-Wing, Jedi Starfighter Vs. 2 kinds of Trade Federation fighters and somewhere I've seen a Republic Tie, although I don't know if that one's canon. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ADarkJedi44 Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Mask, you forgot Genosien fighters. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
Tsunami Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 If we wait for EP III we will have more units/characters/fighters to chose from. But heck, that's waiting. Boooooring! BTW, let's get finished with Reloaded, I want to PLAY it! It's all hopeless but otherwise not very dramatic. - Helme Haffax Englishman: "What do you think of Modern Civilization?"Mahatma Gandhi: "That would be a good idea."
vakundok Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 Mask: Theoretically you can switch off models/units by:1: Setting their construction and maintenance cost to 0.2: Not allowing any side to build it. In my opinion there is a third way: setting their active flag to 0. However it is unchecked and canot do with Rebed so it does not work for a TC.Besides I think there are some ships that canot be prohibited. Not allowing a ship type the game usually start with is not a recommended idea. (Eg: The imperial dreadnaught should be replaced instead of not allowing it.)
the_mask Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 Yeah, I tried that once, but I thought maybe someone knew of a minimum number of ships, that had to be there. ADarkJedi44: what Geonosian fighters do you mean ? These flying reptiles ? They could only count as atmospheric fighters http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
SWARMER Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 where did you read about Geonosian fighters? I dont remeber reading amout them. The Force is one and all
ADarkJedi44 Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 You know those things with Count Doku at the end. I know I read about them somewhere. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
ADarkJedi44 Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 There some book out there with Genosian fighters. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
ADarkJedi44 Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 I dont remember. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
the_mask Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Hmm ... reflecting ... "Dooku with a speeder, flanked by two other ships..." ah, these. Gotta look at them on the DVD again, but didn't they look the same as the ship, that Dooku escapes with ?I'm a bit confused, I just wrote exam no. 4 of 12 (logic), the rest ( 8 ) will start in about 3 weeks, oh joy ... http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Tsunami Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Mask: Best o' luck. Hm, to me these 'things' next to Dooku always seemed more like drones or something, and then only for atmosphere (they were running on repulsors, didn't see anything that looked like sublight drives). It's all hopeless but otherwise not very dramatic. - Helme Haffax Englishman: "What do you think of Modern Civilization?"Mahatma Gandhi: "That would be a good idea."
UntimelyDemise Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 BTW, what do sublight drives look like? SWARMER Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 in general or thoes ones. The sublight brides are the light blue thing on the back of imperial ships, the red ones on the rebel ships..Wait a second, are all the imp ships blue engines and the rebel ones red? The Force is one and all
UntimelyDemise Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Sarcasm...some people get it...some people don't! I don't think all Rebel drives are red. It doesn't seem likely, since the Rebs use so many different types of ships manufactured many different places. I would agree Imperial ships all have the same color drives, since all (or at least most) of their equipment comes from the same manufacturers. ADarkJedi44 Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I think that Isd's have blue and SSd's have red sublight drives. Can't be sure though. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
SWARMER Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 true, but still i wonder if lucasarts wanted to be that way or was it an accitend. RED vs BLUE - it also reflects their emblum The Force is one and all
vakundok Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 As I remember the engines of moncal cruisers and the Gallofree medium transports were blue. The engines of the Executor were red unlike the game texture.
ricepr2001 Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 ive seen moncals with both, not on the same ship but on diff ships some blue some red Why are people afraid to die? It is a natural part of life. Life and Death. They go together. Some people are just willing to speed up that process.
SWARMER Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 hmmm, I wonder what i was thinking - probably the most commun ones - rebel snubfighters and Ties and SD's The Force is one and all
ADarkJedi44 Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 I think Ties have red also. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
SWARMER Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 nope, their blue - twin ion engines The Force is one and all
