AdmiralToguroAni Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Hi everyone! For those that care, I've just about finished with the cool event pics. Actually, my sister drew these so I give credit to her. They're very anime-esque, but thats actually what I wanted. Anyway, a brief intro to the characters you'll be seeing: Yuki Hirameki: a 7-year old psychic girl who possesses powers beyond belief. Unfortunately, she's rather immature and prone to causing trouble with her inquisitive nature. Once she gets back from training, though, she's much more mature (replaces Luke) Golgoth: A despot covered in gold armor and a blue cape. He is one of the two co-rulers of the Apokoliptian Empire, and seems to focus on the enforcement part of governing. (Replaces Vader) Valentine: A woman of unmatched intelligence and kindness. She is an excellent diplomat, but has limited combat ability, too. The PanGalactic Federation uses her as their mascot--the friendly face that people know as the government. (Replaces Leia) Darkseid: A stone-cold co-ruler of the Empire. He guides the subordinates of the Empire and commands absolute respect. Though Golgoth often causes more death, rumors say that Darkseid may be even more powerful....(replaces the Emperor) http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y266/ToguroAni/oldyukivsdarkseid.bmp http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y266/ToguroAni/yuki_golgoth_standoff.bmp http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y266/ToguroAni/Valmeetsdarkseid.bmp For the record about Darkseid's costume: When he fights Yuki he puts on the battle armor, but for the weaker Valentine, he's not afraid to wear his regular clothes. Count Dooku is the strongest Star Wars character as depicted in the movies. All hail Christopher Lee.
MDk Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Star Wars in Anime style? Well, that's new I assume. All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him. (Sun Tsu - The Art of War)
Lord_La_forge Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 I like this simplicity of the images. Very narrative and simple, with very strong colors.
AdmiralToguroAni Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 I'll tell her you said that, La Forge. Coming from another artist, that would mean a lot. I always thought the original pics in Rebellion looked too grainy, and so we're trying to make it more cartoony, since I for one would rather play a bright, vibrant game than a darker one, even if its more realistic. Count Dooku is the strongest Star Wars character as depicted in the movies. All hail Christopher Lee.
Mad78 Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I like even if, and this is just my thought, the background could perhaps be slightly more detailed. But tell your sister her characters look really fantastic. One last question. When i saw the name I couldn't resist. Do the the people of the PanGalactic Federation drink PanGalactic Gaggle blaster? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Lord_La_forge Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Actually I like it because it doesn't have any distubing extra details in the back or anywhere on the pics.
Mad78 Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Then forget what i said http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
AdmiralToguroAni Posted July 19, 2005 Author Posted July 19, 2005 The people of the PGF LOVE the Gaggle Blaster. Its the national drink! Its also standard procedure for all the doors to open and close with "ahhhhhhhh" Count Dooku is the strongest Star Wars character as depicted in the movies. All hail Christopher Lee.
