Release date for the next warlords?

Is there a predicted release date for the next version of Warlords (4.9 i think it will be?)? Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't see how someone asking about a new update is any indication.

 

If anything you just need to play the game for 5 seconds to see just how awesome this mod really is.

I played it and it wasn't that good, nothin against whoever made it. It just didn't have any plot to it.

In reality a plot doesn't add much to a game. You play it once through and then what? You play multiplayer! Multiplayer is what keeps most games alive past their expiration date. Most people buy new games simply for the online experience. Warlords has succeeded in keeping Homeworld2 alive .

if i wanted am outstanding single player game i'd play half-life 2, or the new splinter cell, which i am, and by god its good. But you play warlords for great skirmishes and multiplayer.

and they being nutters won't let Jahled make Rebellion even better by handing over source code. I bet they forgot they even made the game

Warlords rules! cant wait for the next version hoping the issues with the music installer is sorted soon cos i havnt got the music pack(s) and that would complete the experience for me

Lucasarts appears to be starting to see what people want:

SW: Empire at War

That has a little bit of fleet combat, and if there are limits then modders will find a way around them and we will get big fleet battles.(I hope)

I do hope so, lots of big capital class ships would be good, with lots of sepearate weapon systems attack drones would be kool, but cap ships are my fav, huge hulking battle crusiers unloading huge mssile salvos on each other.

Now I really hope someone will make a mod for that game with Clone Wars battles, I so wanna be able to smash through a seperatist fleet with my Venators to rain clones down on the pesky droids.

Ever played Nexus: The Jupiter Incident? Very much like Homeworld but without the resource management and building, just tactical fleet combat.

There is an SDK and I'd like to make a Star Wars mod for that

Nexus is nothing like Homeworld. It is an entirely different experience.

They are set in space in 3D - that's about all the similarities in terms of gameplay

 

Last mod attempt for Nexus, I've not heard anything on that project at all. I don't know if its going anywhere
