Jahled Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Just an observation, but there were over 180 when I logged back on this afternoon, and still seem to be over 150 as I type... New movie retro RTS Rebellion factor? Or the community links? Great isn't it? http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Mad78 Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 SWR doesn't need revival Still its nice to see interest in our community http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted June 10, 2005 SWR Staff - Executive Posted June 10, 2005 We're just cool. And anyone who joins up is cool. Jahled Posted June 10, 2005 Author Posted June 10, 2005 SWR doesn't need revival Amen bro... but heck, the game is so old now to newer SW titles; isn't the continued interest somewhat short of... remarkable? Or is it that the game, with Revolution's RebEd, has given it a lease of life quite frankly unheard of in the gaming community? Still its nice to see interest in our community Obviously true, I was just a little shocked at the stats, that's all... We're just cool. And anyone who joins up is cool. Actually, i've suspected this for years now , just the SW gamming community late waking up to the fact some older games haven't necessarilly been outclassed... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

Skynxnex Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Good luck and I hope you have fun with the game. I havent actually played Rebellion in years sadly. Its hard to find the time to play it when I had college going on and now graduate school and the search for a full time job continues etc. http://img30.echo.cx/img30/2519/yodavspals4fr0gi.gif

Prine Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 The movie did it for me. I've had a copy of this since I was 13, though.

Jahled Posted June 11, 2005 Author Posted June 11, 2005 You're right. 70 to new members today.... Can I offer a humble suggestion to you webmaster pueblo, but keep things like this.... I mean the trickle into the community can only be healthy right? http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Trejiuvanat Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Aye, but I think we could call this the SW-Movie-Aftermath effect... After seeing ROTS lots of people may have remembered that they had some SW stuff at home, including old copies of Rebellion... Typing Rebellion or something in the likes in google willl eventually drag you here. Thus more people join, and post around. So for all new members: WELCOME! http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

Bill Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 All these new people joining us makes me feel great, maybe someone will take notice that older games may be the better games. The force is strong in my family. No, Luke, I am your father.
Mad78 Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 I think lots of people have already noticed that. Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Yeah, I was rather surprised by this (in a good way). I was on a reenactment this weekend and came back saturday evening to find that we had 289 people online that very evening! It's great to see all of these new faces... well at least see their names on the main page, even if they aren't all actively posting . History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
