Darthronar Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 It surprises me nobody has considered making a Kotor conversion.
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted May 25, 2005 SWR Staff - Executive Posted May 25, 2005 Its been slow on the card making side... you interested in doing it? Darthronar Posted May 26, 2005 Author Posted May 26, 2005 I can do the stats. But I suck at the graphics. Though my brother showed some interest if i found the right pics.I have some ideas... if anyone is interested in listening?
the_mask Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 From observation I'd say you get more replies, if you just post your ideas I'm still looking for a working program for extracting the models from Kotor I & II, btw http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Guest JediIgor Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 But are there really enough ships? You might even be able to get enough characters, but it would be hard getting enough ships. Really.
MDk Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Well, I think a KotOR TC would be real fun, but would it make sense to do so? JediIgor is right, there are really not many ships in the games. And even there would be, you had to alter the ship models also. Anyway... It would be a pleasure to me, to help creating some cards. All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him. (Sun Tsu - The Art of War)
the_mask Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 You could look up the SithWars comics, too. Although I doubt that will give you more, than ~5 additional models http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
MDk Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Well, Darthronar, perhaps you'd like to tell us about your ideas? If we are lucky, we can win some people for helping with this TC. Important one: We would need one or two modelers. The mask was talking about something like 5 ships. There must be 5-7 another ships in KotOR. If there are too few ship-classes we could make a mk1 and mk2 version of each capital ships. Only problem: I can't remember seeing one transporter. (Sun Tsu - The Art of War)
kaja Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Indeed, the Sith Wars wiuld give you a few more. EDIT: 500 Hundred posts. Woot. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s152/Dave-Mastor/Cluster6.jpg
Nero Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Hmm...The Endar Spire maybe? They never really said what it was usually used for. It was just to transport Bastilla's mission. You never find out what her mission was supposed to be, so we really don't know. It was a military ship, but it also fell mostly to a few wings of fighters. If I remember right, the Spire was never hit with the cap ships because they weren't needed. I never played #2, so I really can't say about that. Watch the video at the end of the first game. When Bastilla uses Battle Meditation, they show a lot of ships. Take them, make a name, strap some stats to them. If anyone complains about inacuracy, tell them to go find official stats .
MDk Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 The Edar Spire looks very much like a frigate or corvette to me. It remebers me to the Tantive of Episode 4, a ship transporting important persons through the galaxy. I think the Ebon Hawk in an ancestor of the Corellian YT series. The design look very much like it, even the interior rooms. So I would say it is a small armed frighter. In the end movie I can remember three capital ships: The sith Interdictor class, and two republic ship, one called "the carriers" by Admiral Dodonna I think, the other one would be an escort ship, I am not shure if it is the same model as the Endar Spire and the Harbinger. Whether the sith escort ships are shown, I can't remember. Talking about it, I think it would be fun, to work on a KotOR TC, but I am not enough into modding to do very much on my own. Is there anybody out there, who would also like to work on something like this? All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him. (Sun Tsu - The Art of War)
VinBadir Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 It's been awhile since this post first began but i'll throw in my two cents. I've been collecting SW pics from the internet for awhile now, and have quite the collection. I've turned out several character cards which I haven't been able to upload onto the site (maybe this will be fixed soon) I have lots of pics from the Tales of the Jedi/KOTOR era, or as I like to refer to it, the Sith era. I would be more than happy to work on some of these pics and produce some character cards for a KOTOR TC. Or even upload the cards to the site (when it's fixed)
Ouranos Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I started a KOTOR Tc last year and I stillhave some of the cards; I coud help if. However the great problem with KOTOR is that there are few sith characters develloped and that there isn' a great number of space ship. For the republic you have the hammerhead (endar spire or hardbinger, kind of nebulon b frigate), the Foray-class gunchip (sort of corellian corvette) the aurek class fighter and the bomber from the starforge batlle. The sith have the sith Interceptor, the sith interdictorr (sort orf imperial star destroyer) and the centurion class battleship (ravager, a kind of ssd). For both there are some transport the one from Dxun and manaan, the orbital shuttle from K2, ... You can had a few ships by adding the vessel from the kottor comics (courageous, some transports,...) and from the tales of the jedi comics (there is an additional fighter and some capital ship). Concerning models maybe an agreement could be find with the team develloping SW Jedi Civil War ( a KOTOR mod of EAW). YOu could also add SOme Mandolarian units. Other vessels can be find at http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Republic_Navy#Great_Sith_War_.284.2C000-3.2C996_BBY.29 for the republic and at http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_Empire_%28Jedi_Civil_War%29#Navy for the sith.
