Some one (A while back) mentioned putting Boba Fett in with the Empire. Well, how 'bout this? If possible, you could hire bounty hunters (Such as, you would build them in a troop training center, or something for a very high price) bounty hunters have varying skills depending on price and hunter (boba being the best, IG88 and Bosk or something thrown in there). Just putting it out there. I know nothing of game programing, so I could be making a beyond-all-reason-demand.

Reloaded can only deal with things already in the game system, without the source code...
I've just remembered i've got a signature!

That's sort of what I mean. What if you just replace some troops that you can build with bounty hunters? I mean, I don't know if you can do this, but can you increase the number of beings that can be trained at troop training centers?

But if we'd replace a troop type with Fett, Bossk, ... , there'd be hundreds of them, instead of having them as unique characters. 8)

What would it take to get to the source code? Money? An act of God? An act of Congress? You would think Lucas and Co. would be thrilled that people want to keep this littel jewel around. I remember playing a game called Pacific War by Gary Grigsby for years and years. Due to the huge cult following, he has made a new game, bigger, better, more detailed, called War In The Pacific. But people keep on playing Pacific War. Its kinda like Harpoon. There have been newer versions made, but I still prefer the original, albeit updated, version the best. Both of these games have benefitted from PLAYERS getting into the source code and making hte games more PLAYABLE.

I'm pretty sure that someone would have hacked the source codes a long time ago if it weren't for one small issue: It's illeagle. Still, I agree, Lucas should just give up already. The game was a flop, the technology is ancient, and nobody is selling it any more! There are, like, one hundred people out there that still know it exists, let alone play it!

Quick question- are there going to be higher requirments in the graphics, RAM, etc. areas in using Rebellion reloaded? I've seen some of the things that people have come up with, and I'm not sure how well they will run on my compy. So will there be upgraded system requirements?

well the requirement shouldn't be too high coz your using the old game right? they are just changing stuff right? boy i hope they don't make the requirement too high so i don't have to buy or upgrade my computer! cant wait to play it!!! :D

Well, the only pc-challenging things should be the models, since everything else just overwrites the original entries (pics, movies, sounds)...

But we're trying to keep the models below a certain amount of polygons, to make the TC playable on older computers, as well

Okay, thanks. I was kind of afraid that i would have to download the patch on one of the newer computers so that I could play. My mom freaks out whenever I download stuff off the web... And no, it's not that I still live with my parents- I'm 14. Not 30, or whatever.

Hehe, well Reloaded itself is going to be a bit larger than the average model download, although I don't know about the definite figure yet.

But we'll probably divide it up into packages, like the main TC, movies and music, so those with less bandwidth can also download it in a reasonable amount of time

Maybe we can also contact some of these game magazines with dvds, once we're done, so they can put the full Reloaded on one of their discs, too 8)

Okay, I E-mailed PC gamer, but no reply... yet.

Appreciate your efforts, but sort of kill it! There is utterly shit loads that needs to be done, and as the post in tis now at the bottom may point out, to little talent mucking in on the grit.

Please don't contect anyone on our behalf; as it stands its still an unknowable date for the finnish line; utterly on the fact there are have been so few people working on the dlls. :!:

Utterly amazing oversight at project origin; TFck for Hungarian Ninjas... :D

To paraphrase Evaders when you ALREADY SAID THIS ON ANOTHER THEAD  :

Pointless criticism - please keep mindless fanboy EaW crap on someone else's forum

EaW and Reloaded are entirely different projects. One is a major game by a fulltime developers and a backed publisher. The other is a fan creation with no one footing the bill. It is all volunteer work. Do not disrepect the Reloaded team, or you will piss people off (most notably, me )

And now my two cents. If all you can do is complain that a fan project, done by fans for nothing, on their own time when they could be a number of other things, while coping with real life problems and work loads, is taking a long time - then just shut up.

Plain and simple, just shut up.

Be grateful that there are people within this comunity that will put in the time and effort to work on this project, rather than sit on the side line and banter about it "taking too long".

We don't mind critism, but not this pointless dribble that is only intended to annoy people.

EDIT: Toned it down a little

No tensions.. just the Ban Hammer ;)

One is pointless.. twice is intentional disrepect. Thus the hammer!
