Battlefield51 Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Hey, all. I got Rebellion a few years ago back in 99, and its been my favorite game ever since. I have to wonder, though: Are their fleet limitations? In tactical battles, it says that there are only a few task forces that you can use. The fleet system is organized into horizontal rows, but if you get to many units, are they not included in the battle? I usually build my games with one massive fleet (I usually name it "Victory Fleet") and it consists of a good amount of forces, but I wnat ot know if i could have an unlimited assortment under my command.
Aenivae_Ikeda Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 Take a look at the "Biggest Fleet" thread I made, read my fleet and then see if that answers your question. "I saw the greatest minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical, naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix." -Allen Ginnsberg, "Howl"
Battlefield51 Posted May 24, 2005 Author Posted May 24, 2005 heh heh, Ill take that as a "no, there is no limitation". But I have to wonder: I know there have been plenty of versions of Rebellion released, but I have to use my copy on a laptop: ANy games on my Desktop will flay it alive. Therefore, Will it still apply to the original copy?
Aenivae_Ikeda Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 I uhh don't understand the question "I saw the greatest minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical, naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix." -Allen Ginnsberg, "Howl"
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted May 24, 2005 SWR Staff - Executive Posted May 24, 2005 As far as I know, there's only one version released. There are multiple languages, but they aren't really new versions. Its the same game, even the Supremacy name for the UK market. The other version would 1.01, a patch released through the LEC site. But that's still nothing different. So as well, I don't understand the question. Rebellion works fine on laptops, I know. Rebellion works fine on Windows XP, I know. Yes, I know, I was wondering if the Fleet limitations answer was also refered to from version one of Rebellion.
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted May 24, 2005 SWR Staff - Executive Posted May 24, 2005 The 1.01 patch fixes a multiplayer language issue. That's it. Nothing about the actual game has changed.
