SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted May 17, 2005 SWR Staff - Executive Posted May 17, 2005 This is just for free, web-based online games. Mostly, the simple ones that you can take a few minutes to play - such as KingsOfChaos Which ones interest you?If you've found one you like, post it Planet Battlegroundhttp://www.planetbattleground.com/recruit.php?id=8478Setting: C&C, Choices: Russia or USAMy second favorite, I've been playing since their Game 2. Requires some clicking, but the built-in Recruiter is now limited to only 10 clicks. But there is a Bank, an experience system, not much else too complicated. No build in alliance system. LordsOfLegendhttp://www.lordsoflegend.com/Setting: Fantasy, Choices: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Trolls, Undead, Dark Elves, Draconians, Fangolians It's sorta complicated at first. There's a building tree for what you can get, and limits for personel. Sorta like playing an RTS game without having an actual map to play. There is a built-in alliance system, but there's no clicking in the game. DarkThronehttp://www.darkthrone.com/recruit.dt?uid=V30260R30226E30311R30362C30379X30277Setting: Fantasy, Choices: Humans, Undead, Elves, Goblins A more complicated version of KingsOfChaos. Different levels of upgrading soldiers and buildings, mercenaries, and other things. There's all kinds of options here, built-in alliance system, there's a built-in Recruiter and clicks are a must. NationStateshttp://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=dun_huangSetting: Political, Choices: Various things for your nationSo this is something quite different from the rest of them. There's no attacking, no gold, no real symbol of wealth. No goals really but answer political Q&As, driving how your nation will develop. Are you driven to provide all services to your citizens? Do you want to give money to special interests? Are you promoting democracy or ruling with an iron-fist?Some of us are in the SWR region, if you want to join. Overall, its pretty simple and interesting for those politically (or not) inclined Evaders99http://swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif Webmasterhttp://swrebellion.com/images/banners/swcicuserbar.png Administrator Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.- SW:Rebellion Network - Evaders Squadron Coding -The cake is a lie.
adthrawn Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Planet Battlegrounds and Nation Stataes are good. "Someday, somebody will best me. But it's not today, and it's not you"-DDhttp://members.w-link.net/~imperatrix/images/thrawn3.jpgGrand Admirl ThrawnVersed in the Art of War
Eko Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Nation States gets old really fast, it just ran out of possibilities for me really. Depends if anything has changed... I've just remembered i've got a signature!
LetTheWookieWin Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Kingdom of Loathing Here is a fun game to play. It is very addictive, I have been playing for over a year now. There is a lot of hidden and not so hidden humor. There are joke about hippies, final fantasy, music group, basically just a lot of pop culture and gaming culture humor. You can play as few as 40 turns a day which only takes a few minute or you can eat food and drink drinks to get many more turns. Possibly as many as 200 a day. There is also a very active community with a chat area for trades and help. Also there are clans within the game. The one that I a lead is called Star Wars Freaks. I am Corran in this game and I am willing to help anybody that has questions about it. http://www.kingdomofloathing.com Chewbacca: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrgh C-3PO: He made a fair move. Screaming about it can't help you. Han Solo: Let him have it. It's not wise to upset a Wookiee. C-3PO: But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid. Han Solo: That's 'cause droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookiees are known to do that. Chewbacca: Grrf. C-3PO: I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy, R2: let the Wookiee win.
