a newbie's questions

hey, i just found this site when i was searching for sites that enable swrebellion in multiplayer, and its nice to see that im not the only one still stuck on this game hehe.

 

So my question is, can we actually play rebellion on multiplayer via this site? and if not, are there web pages out there that support it? cause i'd really want to play against humain intelligence, and i doubt that its still possible.. Also, can i play against one of my friends with a cable connection?

I know that MSN's "ZONE" did support Rebellion about one or two years ago.

I played XWing Alliance then and was surprised to see it still there, given MS' usual policy.

You should be able to play with your buddy, you just need his 'real' IP number, when he's dialed in. Try emailing, or some instant messenger for this. He just needs to open a Dos-Box and type in ipconfig. That'll give him two IP numbers along with subnet mask stuff, that you don't really need there. The IP number (usually the upper), that does not match the number he's already given to his pc, is the number he currently has.

That number changes every time he re-dials !

 

Only the one, who plays server needs to give his IP number to the other, btw.

you can still play it on the zone go to the zone choose all games go to Z choose zoneLan directplay choose strategy games then go to a game table like before
