I've never played with these machines as a kid. But there were some great games, that I would love to play again. So I decided to search for some oldschool arcade machines.

I've already found one, it's a Lethal Enforcers machine. A bit old but still in good condition. And I could get it really cheap.

I've also found a street fighter program, but the cabine is missing :(

I'm now up to find some old machines with games like Street figter Mortal 1, WWF and so on :D

Anyone ever buyed one?

No.

..but dated, very old arcade type machines are very popular in some of the more trendy bars and clubs here in London; but I reckon it's because all the trendy middle-class media types are by and large crap at pool....

Well, there's a program called MAME and there are hundreds of old arcade games for it on the web.

You just have to make sure, that you won't run into any copyright issues, or that the copyright on the game has run out

Metal slug 3 for the X-BOX.

Warning: this game is worst than crack. I have wasted over $50 in my life with that game. Best arcade game of this gen.

Yes MAME is a good thing for game lovers. Actually I want to get some original stuff together with dedicated cabinet. :D

I once knew a great man. Nothing got to him, and he always smiled. May he forever rest in peace, knowing fully well that his freinds shall remember him.

Just checked a used coin-op dealer's store. Think it's about the only one in the city, and they only have some old pinball machines. There was even a wrecked pinball machine with WWF, and Hulk Hogan was painted on the side

:x Nothing found. That's terrible.

I used to have one. When I was a kid, my dad brought home one he bought off a guy at his job. It was Altered Beast. That game was cool. Unfortunatly, it was a short game. Eventually, we moved up here and didnt want to haul it along, so it was resold. My friend is working on making an arcade machine. He buys all the seperate parts and what not. That's gonna rock!

That sounds really good. At the moment I'm trying to find an original SF2 machine. Sadly, it's difficult around here, even if you want to build it on your own.

There's a nearby (Not really the near.) Gaming place that has them, there's even an old star wars one.

Its not old, but theres a Star Wars Trilogy game at my local arcade. Its really not that long, but its the Battle of Yavin, the Battle of Hoth, then the escape from Hoth, then a speeder bike chase, then the destruction of the Death Star II shield, and finally the Battle of Endor. There are also 2 bonus levels where you duel Boba Fett and Darth Vader. Its pretty cool.

Well I'm only interested in old ones though. Just got the info, that SF2 wasn't imported to Hungary with dedicated boxes :(

That means I have to search the world for it's parts, side art, panel, and so on :(
