Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.

It is just a cut scene, so you'd have to replace the movie with new ones. I'm pretty sure you can do it, though you'd first need to create a new movie and then figure out how to get it into the game - probably using resource hacker or something like that.

The movies are in the Smacker format and rest in the MDATA folder on the cd. You need to download the movie patch and the Smacker player, usually hosted on my site, I just need to update the links again

First of all: copy the MDATA folder from your cd to the directory, where you installed Rebellion. So that it's at the same level as EDATA, GDATA, ...

Next, browse through the text file, I included in the smacker download. It gives you the original resolutions for each of the movies and how you need to name them, to be displayed at the appropriate moment in the game.

Lastly, use the movie patch on your game's .exe file and the game will now play the (correctly encoded) movies from the new MDATA folder on your harddrive.

To encode movies of your own, the need to have the correct resolution, then you can convert them with Smacker with the settings I mentioned in the text file.

Pheeew, done.

Along simular lines; Maskiness, do you know what software you would need to create Star Wars rolling script?*

Well i guess that if you used 3d Max Jahled it would be very easy.

Just put a star background and use the text tool to add... the text and then animate the text moving back.

All you have to do then is film from the right angle and render.

Thanks M, but I did some googling this afternoon and discovered some tutorials concerning Poser, which i've just located on a dodgy disk....

...right well don't expect anything on this front from me for a while. The tutorial worked, sort of, but the resulting file size of 140 mb for my little ol PC is just a bit to tough for me to continue playing around with this poser-lark. :(

Well, I found Poser always a bit more complicated, than 3dsmax.

I've also got one rolling script model, that TK helped me find once and it'll be used for the opener in Reloaded

The main factors to mess with your file's size, Jahled, are the resolution and the video codec you used. For example a 320x240 movie with DivX low-motion compression will use less than a 640x480 one without any compression at all

You can also just let it render to bmps and make an animated gif 8)

Dude, do you still have the poser file ? If you saved it, you could just load that again and set poser's rendering options to bmps. I'm sure that should be possible

No. I was so freaked out with the 140 mb resulting file I deleated it from my PC.... I haven't got enough HD space these days to even play about with such software... :(
