I have resently moved to the Big Apple and during the moving my CD was damage beyond repair (I.E. destroyed in multiple pieces) and I'm trying to find a place or site to buy myself the game again. I know that is a long shot, but If you know of anyplace, you can help a sad player that misses blasting rebels with a swarm of carrack's.

There seems to be alot of people looking to get a new copy of Rebellion. Is it a resurgance in popularity, or are we old-timers getting careless with our disks . I think it's been said before in a few threads (in recent days, even hours) that Ebay is always a good place to look, and if that doesn't serve, LucasArts might still have it in their online store.

One thing I must clarify is about the LucasArts store.

 

I tried to find it to buy it and they din't have it. That search was, at least, one year ago. But, I will follow your advise and try again.

I believe that this is what you're looking for. It's a bit pricey in my opinion ($29.00 US), but then, you are buying one of the greatest strategy games in history!

This game still has a massive following, much larger than most people realise. A freind of mine actually calls it "The number one Star Wars game for those that know it exists."

 

As for buying it, lucasarts still has copies (which is good, because mine is still MIA), Ebay has copies, and there are a few other places to get copies of the game, but lets not get into that.

I must agree with him. Rebellion is, for me, THE best galaxy-wide strategic simulation for star wars. Note I didn't said "real- time" because this simulator looks more like a turn-based hex game, only timed. Good way too keep one on it's toes.
