I was given TIE fighter disc, manual, and a joystick. My question is this, does anyone know if you can play this on an XP operating system? I looked through the old threads and didn't see this discussed before. Any help would be appreciated as I have never played this classic game before.-Grand Moff Conway

First off, if it's the Windows disc (hook us up) it will work just fine, if it's a DOS disc, then you may run into some problems (I had trouble actually getting it to run after installing it). If compatibility mode fails, you can always use DOSBox!

Actually the cool thing about it is that you can even run TIE Fighter in Linux (hehe).. I for one am having a good game of Ascendancy thanks to DOSBox (on Linux of course).

Good luck, and hope your TIE Fighter works!

My disc must be DOS as it says IBM CD-ROM and Compatibles. How does DOSbox work Igor? Just wondering. -Grand Moff Conway
