Paul Posted April 2, 2005 Share Posted April 2, 2005 I was given TIE fighter disc, manual, and a joystick. My question is this, does anyone know if you can play this on an XP operating system? I looked through the old threads and didn't see this discussed before. Guest JediIgor Posted April 2, 2005 Share Posted April 2, 2005 First off, if it's the Windows disc (hook us up) it will work just fine, if it's a DOS disc, then you may run into some problems (I had trouble actually getting it to run after installing it). If compatibility mode fails, you can always use DOSBox! http://dosbox.sourceforge.net Actually the cool thing about it is that you can even run TIE Fighter in Linux (hehe).. SOCL Posted April 2, 2005 Share Posted April 2, 2005 I think this was asked in another thread, and Evaders provided a link to a patch that fixed the problem so the game works on XP. Of course, it's for the Windows 95/98 version of the game.
