It's an online game.. mostly for amusement value.. I got this today.

"You're all thinking too small!" exclaims Jazz Bush, an avid Star Wars fan. "What we need is more research into the possibilities of space weapons! Big laser cannon and satellites with complete annihilation power! And cool spaceships! Boom! Rat-a-tata! Bang! Bang! It'll be expensive, sure, but think of the power! THE POWER!"

SW has it's hand in everything. =o)

Well, after ten minutes of trying to find a name that's not already in use: This is my nation :D.

I'll need to come up with a unique flag, but that one shall do for now.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

What's most funny, I tried to get everyone to see this way back in 2003 and I got the same basic reactions. Funny how things die-out then come back. My nation, called Gitano (Trej made a flag for it), was ENORMOUS and then...well...I got bored with it after the issues started to repeat themselves and the sim-UN kept passing stupid declarations and I simply stopped.

How does this work? Do the UN declarations actually force people to do anything?

Can you wage war and stuff?

Despite having a look in everyday now for a while, I must confess to be loosing interest fast, given there's so little you can actually do.

Well someone could go write their own Star Wars web game like Planetarion and we'll all consult.. yeah..

In fact Evaders wanted to do that until laziness took him over ;).

...and with that goes the fact I broadly don't agree with how such issues as Civil Rights and Political Freedoms are resolved in the authors minds effecting my nation. Since i've been at it i've been striving for a secular state and seem to have been stung on these fronts with every issue. Not allowing religious-bigotary to influence my society can't be deemed as an assualt on civil liberties or political freedoms can it? Its a contradiction in terms lol

Not to go too off topic (by the way, I hadn't meant any offense), but rumor has it the Vatican may want to Saintify (sorry, I'm not sure of the verb for "to be made a Saint")* the late Pope John Paul II.

*Yes, I realize who satircal that came across, but I assure you, it wasn't meant that way.

Beatify is the verb your looking for SOCL.

Well, I'll start by going off topic for a second: beatify is actually "To proclaim (a deceased person) to be one of the blessed and thus worthy of public religious veneration in a particular region or religious congregation." To declare someone a saint is to Canonise someone (they must be dead though).

Back on topic (somewhat): The only problem with MMORPGs mad is that a) we'd all have to pay for it; b) we'd all have to be able to run it one our computers; c) it would have to be one we all agree on and would enjoy. Some tough requirements :?.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
