Idiot Rebels...

Ok, so I'm playing a game, Medium Galaxy, Hard AI, Standerd victory, As the Empire...

 

I'm playing along on day 247, when I find that Skywalker is trying to Sabotage my Gen-core Mrk-1, on the same planet as Darth Vader. So I try to Abduct him with Darth Vader, It ends up in a confrontation.

 

Somehow, before Luke goes to Yoda, he manages to Injure Darth Vader, and take him off to the nearest planet. So I send about 20 Imperial Commandos to rescue him, and another 20 to capture Skywalker.

 

They end up rescuing Vader, AND capturing Skywalker! Vader takes luke to go to the Emperor, In his throne, in the palace, I wait for them to arrive, They arrive, the Confrontation starts AND......

 

Luke ends up capturing both of them! takes them to a nearby Sector, Becuse I already control the entire Sector around Coruscant, As I always do when playing the Imperials.

 

So I send I Fleet, With Imperial Commandos, after them. Luckily for me, it reveals the location that skywalker went to, I end up Recapturing Skywalker, and rescue Darth Vader, and the Emperor. Thank you, Commandos

Later that very game, With Skywalker Still captured! I'm looking at a sector, Half of it under my control, Full control. On each planet the bar is fully green. the rest of the sector is nuetral.

 

I'm looking at it wondering how to capture it, as all my diplomats are off getting other planets, in other sectors, Just as I'm about to abort my diplomat's missions to take the sector, IMP-22 tell me that the Rebels are blockading on of my planets.

 

And then I hear the assault noise, I look to find it, while I'm looking, IMP Tells me once more that the Rebels are blockadeing my planet, I find the Sector I was looking at just a few moments ago, to see one of the planets, A Rebel planet, In Uprising

 

Then they take another one of my planets, Grr! I send Task Force: "Commando" to that sector, by the time it arrived, the Rebels had already taken another planet!

 

I then engage the Rebels, Destroing ALL OF THEM!! and only loosing a single TIE Bomber, Curse them always dieing...

 

I then continue to bombard the planet, destroying the Rebel Troops, Re gaining the planet! Then I do that to the other 2 planets, And then I finaly noticed that the ENTIRE System, was mine, All of the Bars fully Green. WOO HOO!!!!

 

Then over the next 500 days the Rebels go to several time and takover one of the planets in that system, I defeat them, and retake the planet.

 

On Day 1116 I destroy the Rebel HQ!

 

50 Days later, I capture Mon Mothma, And I watch the pitiful Mon Calamari be destroyed, MUHAHAHAHAHA, So waht do you think of my adventure?

Sounds very entertaining to say the least. I was wondering from which Star Trek show you avatar is from. I remember it but i cant remember which one it is.

Wierd I watch Star Trek: the Next Generation a lot and I've seen a couple of the movies, but that avatar does not look familar.

It's at the begining of First Contact, just before the Enterprise-E comes, it's in the battle with the borg cube. As it heads to earth.

Oh that movie. I don't remember much about that movie. I have it at home though so maybe I should watch it. Do you know how near the end of the movie Hawk got changed into a borg member while he was in the spacesuit in space without damaging the spacesuit?

yes, the spacesuit was compromised. The borg drone puncture it to infect him. Only he was way early in the assimilation process to burst the suit.

 

Oh, the Defiant. The fighter of the Federation. I love that ship.

Oh. I'm watching the movie now (for 2 more minutes) and I'm at the part where Worf, Picard, and Hawk go out into space.

Yeah the defiant comes back in Deep Space Nine in some of the later episodes. I woke up this morning and popped in the video to continue it. So the assimilation of Hawk wasn't as close to the end as I thought since the movie is still going. Maybe this topic should go back on topic now.

yeah, we can. We have to keep it small. The mods don't like heavy ST Vs. SW debates. They feel those debates don't belong here, and I agree.

 

But, we can talk about the rest whilt we keep it friendly.

Oh ok. Personally I thought Genesis (the only Star Trek: TNG we don't have) was better then the other two movies.

Genisis was a TOS movie, Generations is a TNG movie.

Genesis isn't the name of the movie, it's The Search For Spock. The idea of genesis started in The Wrath of Kahn and carried on to Search for Spock.

I'm stil mad when Paramount said that tye aren't going to make more ST movies. They should make a movie based in "Enterprise" or the paralel universe.

 

The one with the terran empire. that would be one bad ass action movie. Imagine Picard in hand-to-hand. (now that I think of it, maybe not...)

Do you mean the parallel universe from TOS where the evil Spock had the goatee? There are a couple of TNG novels that followed that line of thought. Some very wierd and interesting things developed from that. If I can find the books, I'll try to post the titles if you're interested?
