Game developers employ entire teams to do this sort of thing full time! There have been frustrating spanners in the system (people dropping out and more or less taking their work with them) but it is now very much on course...for a release date err...sometime not so far away... Go figure. As for Half-Life 2, VALVe (not Vivendi) definitely kept giving us release dates and then going back on them. Don't fear about Reloaded though, that's coming out soon .
