Crashes my game

Whenever I play Rebellion using RebEd, as soon as I start a new game, it gives me that "This program has performed an illegal operation" and closes the game. This is after I get through the ship sequence, but before the robot starts talking. I have reinstalled the game, updated the game, etc. However whenever I play Rebellion without RebEd, it works just fine.

Alright, after some tampering I found the source of the problem. Apparently raising/lowering the troop or squadron amount on the ships causes the game to crash.

That shouldn't have an effect. Given we don't know precisely what you edited it's pretty tricky to determin the source.

 

However, I once lowered the research level of A ISDII to 0 and the game crashed everytime I tried to start up...

So far RebED has never crashed my game.

errr used to crash, now works perfectly fine after gradually adding on settings, investigating cause...

Its some kind of random problem with RebED, i get a different crash setting every time i reinstall.

I've never had a crash problem with rebed before.

I only get it when I try to load cards. Something about a full installation required
