I actually just found the site I saw it on.

It's called Empire Class Star Destroyer. I can't find anything else about it on google. My model is based on the picture from that site. I'd like to post my creations but my texturing skills are very bad. I've tried various tutorials but I still can't get it right.

Okay slight update. I made on texture for each group (ie 9) I loaded the lot into rebellion. The result was a pretty ugly ghost ship. Mask should i put it all into one material. Or should it work the way i did it?

Do not worry Hallo it shouldn't be long now. Just let Mask find the thread. :D

You better move all the different parts into one texture. As you have three different models for the LOD (level of distance) views, you also need those differently named textures for each LOD model.

So, if you had 9 textures per LOD model, that would be 27 alone for one ship and that would blow up (size-wise) your tactical.dll pretty fast.

Nah, there were just some inverted faces in the version, that Mad sent me.

So I wanted to check out, if your gmax version also had them, but as I wanted to reinstall gmax on my 'fresh' windows my old authoration code didn't work anymore :?

So I registered again ... waited ... and got no reply from discreet.

Today I tried to log in with the new account and suddenly it says, "if you have not yet received your authorization code, here it is: ...."

At this time my facial expression was like this: :|

I'll be able to check it out this evening

Huh ? Is this about your Action VI ? The version I sent to you worked fine in the game

Otherwise, you also have my email adress. If I'm forgetting something, you could just ask me again

Hmm, I don't recall hearing of an Arc Hammer model before.

The transparacy has long been an issue, that I've had with several models, but so far could not resolve.

I tried a lot of things to get around this, but so far no luck. I think it's part of the DirectX 6 engine, that the game uses.

The effect does sometimes seem to lessen though, if you make the material double-sided.
