Masek58 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I was wondering, on the galaxy mapper you can choose if you want a sector to be 'Active'. Anybody have any idea what this does? Does it have something to do with some planets being randomly colonized? I'm currently working on a 'realistic' RebEd setting... getting rid of those little story imperfections (i.e. dark troopers). Mas,
Paul Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I am not sure about active setting, but wondered why you consider Darktroopers an imperfection?-Grand Moff Conway
the_mask Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 The active setting does exactly, what it says: make a system active (appear) in the game, or not Paul's right, Darktroopers are canon material, Masek. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Trejiuvanat Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Yep, you can "shut down" eighteen of your twenty sectors, so you play with two of them. (Limited resources, little distance between the two and you'll have an intense "mini-game". Darks are canon material, but they never really saw much action. (They only lasted one videogame ) http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Guest Scathane Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 With regard to galaxy mapping: what is the meaning of a system's visibility (small/medium/large)?
AdmiralFishface Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 My guess:Large: Visible (active) in Large Galaxy games only.Medium: Visible in Large and Medium Galaxy gamesSmall: Visible in all games. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/RiesstiuIV/Krempel/trapaure.gif
Guest Scathane Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 That sounds logical but then why would the active setting/view be in RebEd?
Cain Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 To make a system go for good ! Dissapear ! Abra Cadabra...you know ...anyway you can do some interesting mixez of the Galaxy in that RebEd option..I once played a game with only two systems - The Trivium Organization - Community Manager -- Petroglyph Fan Forums - CoAdmin & Human Resources Manager -

Cain Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 To make a system go for good ! Dissapear ! Abra Cadabra...you know ... No, not really... Let me put it this way ..you can play rebellion with only two systems if you want....coruscant and the one for Hoth (PTESB) the rest will not show on the map... - The Trivium Organization - Community Manager -- Petroglyph Fan Forums - CoAdmin & Human Resources Manager -
Guest Scathane Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 So the easiest way to go about that is by selecting a small universe and then by making all systems but two inactive...
Cain Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 less systems on the map...better AI - The Trivium Organization - Community Manager -- Petroglyph Fan Forums - CoAdmin & Human Resources Manager -
