Darth_Officer Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 i would say people come into this site to check posts in the forum for anything interesting. there are no new downloads lately. remember, all games have a lifespan. rebellion is amazing that since 1998 when it was released there is actually a website still hosting it's content. I really wish Lucas Arts would release the SOURCE CODE to rebellion like so many other game companies do. What the hell do they need it for anymore?

Therefore I dedicate This picture of a well-known pop singer with a pancake on her head. The first is the most obviously overlooked bit of mis-marketing by that mob at Lucasarts. There are still loads of us who still love and play the game, however frequently or infrequently as the case may be. Why is this? What ingrediant has Rebellion got to stretch out it's life span so much when the game engine is so obviously dated? Is it anything to do with the game engine, but the shear concept of the game? The second point shows how crap depending on Lucasarts and the entire Star Wars franchise can be! Yes, why are they sitting on a title no longer commercially available, supported by only by one update, that only this website quite frankly has kept going with Revolution's editor. Corporate arrogance perhaps, I can think of absolutely no harm commercially for the public release of the game's source code.
