Is Higher weapon Recharge better or slower?

Cause in some games it would be it fires every 12 seconds.

In others it would be it fires 12 times a minute (taking 12 as an example)

And how much of a difference does it make?

 

Noob question, but i just am kinda confused.

 

And also, does rebed have to be installed to a particular place or does it automatically find SWR and do its stuff?

The recharge, IIRC (correct me if I'm wrong, fellas) is the amount of 'weapons energy' building up in the ship per second. So if your ship has a recharge of 100 and one single cannon of 50 points firepower, it will fire twice a second.

RebEd seems to look up the registry entries of the game. I've had it installed in a variety of folders over the years, but it always worked

This is a seriously excellent post with a seriously pressing issue of game play that has been hazy for me at least for years now!

 

Can anybody detail a qualified answer exactly how weapon recharge rate works in effect in the game? I good broadsweep from crap to best would be appreciated. Sort this matter out once and for all we must!
