As an opposition to Mad's topic, I’ve decided to do this on, but here are the conditions, it must be a film that was good, but hade a small budget, and then, I would like every one to give ONE and only ONE best film. Star Wars films are out of contest. But they are in the poll.

Well, I don't know if you'd call it "low budget", but it certainly wasn't anywhere near the cost of LOTR. The Rock os one of my favourite movies. I don't know why, I just like the plot, and its got Sean Connery (sp?) and Cage... though I'm not big on the latter, but oh well!

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

My fav SW movie is ep II, because of all the jedi. That's why ep III is gonna be cooler. I hang out for the jedi battles and the saber fights. VI is good for that reason, but II is better. I also really like Mace WIndu.

ROTJ because of the massive starefighter battles :D

Now a good low budget film... I know a film which was really fun was The gods have gone mad or something like that. It happens in Africa. N3C should know what i am talking about since I saw it with him.

And just to bother him i am going to say a high budgetfilm I liked... heu... let me think... there must be one i know... what was the name already... hum... What film did i see lately and liked?... I KNOW!!! Chronicles of Riddick

Oh yes great fun, the number 2 also and 3 also. one of the only films that kept a high level for 3 films with out going down, one of the others is SW of course, but ass you can see, it is hard to do more than 3. Sad.

Of Star Wars films: The Empire strikes back, because it was dark and IMO most of the characters simply acted coolest in this one.

Of Non-SW... Well, the restriction of budget sure makes that tough. I'm simply gonna stick with those where the effects and budget were not the point of the film (unlike all hollywood blockbusters lately):

Blues Brothers, which features both great musicians and actors and, additionally, is funny as hell.

Ghostbusters is great, nothing more to be said.

Airplane literally left me rolling on the floor laughing.

And Dr. Strangelove must be one of the greatest movies EVER.

I voted for Episode II but in error... I meant to vote Empire Strikes Back..., which only goes to show that, deep down I feel that there's only real 2nd episode...

The Predator movies were great, and for some reason I liked #2 better, though Dany Glover isn't the best person for an action star (though the Lethal Weapon movies were great too).

Predator is rather good, as is the Alien-series... You can imagine I'm mighty curious what AVP will bring us... :D

I'm a huge fan of the Aliens saga, Preditor and the AVP games - well, except Aliens 4

So I'm eagerly awaiting its release and hoping that all the bad reviews and rumours I've heard aren't true

I bet it will be quite crappy but who knows. It doesn't have anything to do with the game i don't know many of the actors. But wait and see.
My, my, aren't we a regular dose of sunshine... :?

Has any one seen the Village, (I know it isn’t supposed to be in the topic) because I found it great, really well played, an excellent story and a very good moral. I won't tell you what it is, but it is really worth seeing!

Two of the 3 main actors have very hard roles, because they play a blind girl and a completely mad guy, and it is don extremely well. Just one bad thing, when the blind girl runs, I don't know how, but she manages to avoid all the dead branches on the ground, and she isn’t using here waling stick, but you have the impression she could beat the world record of hedge jumping.

Will be? Is it not out in Europe yet? if not, it wasn't what I was expecting, but it made for a good action film. Apparently there was a lot cut out of it to maintain the PG-13 rating over here, so we'll have to wait for a diractor's cut to see what the movie was suppose to be.

As for the Village, I wasn't impressed. It wasn't very original, and the last half of the movie was ruined by the revelation you come to in the middle (won't ruin the plot for anyone). It could have been much, much better.

Nope, AVP isn't out here yet.

As for an older movie which is good: Southern Comfort...

Is that in comparison to the new one, or is the new version of that film good as well?

Nor have I, but I tend to like the updated versions of movies rather than their older counterparts. I can't stand watching B&W movies, unless they are WWII based.
