I updated to "Lando Calarissian's joke parlour v10.5".

 

The Virago is Xizor's personnal transport. It is armed with two heavy blaster and a missile launcher (not sure about that one)

It's 4 wings can change possition for aerodynamisme and if closed can also conceil his weaponary. He used this ship to escape from his castle to his space station at the end of Shadows of the Empire.

The Virago is actually a fighter, a heavily modified MandalMoters StarViper, the standard fighter of the Black Sun. It was armed with two Ht-12 heavy double laser cannons, one to either side of the cockpit, and two Borstel proton torpedo launchers. In the picture below it is not in combat mode, but when it is, the s-foils open up, giving the the Virago a flower-like shape.

I think it had good maneuverability, and it did pack a punch (even the standard StarVipers were armed with the heavy cannons), but if you look at the picture you can see that there is a very large blind-spot created by the s-foils and the shape ofthe hull, If your opponent gets behind you, you'll be in trouble.

The ship should be equipped with a turret located at the back of the ship with a gunner. That would give it a very large advantage combat. Hopefully the conceptors gave it a large detector array.

All the detector arrays in the galaxy wouldnt have saved the Virago from its firey fate, however!

I remember reading Shadows of the Empire, but I can't remember all of the gritty details. I'll have to read it again.

It got vaporized, along with Xizor and his skyhook.

Xizor was Vader's direct rival. Vader warned him not to touch Skywalker. When the Luke and his mates destroyed Xizor's palace he ordered that his personnal fleet attack and destroy the Millenium Falcon and Outrider.

Vader got wind of this and launched the Imperial navy against Xizor's ships.

Xizor, on his Skyhook, watched his fleet be destroyed. Vader set him a time to surrender... which he did not do and the Executor destroyed the Skyhook.
