What would you say to George Lucas if you could?

I recommend perhaps not making a third trilogy but a TV series based on EU. The best would be to base it on the X-Wing series.

And don't always to make characters such as C3PO and Jar Jar Binks to ridiculous. It takes the humor away.

I agree. I would tell him to ditch the corny characters, and make the humour situation based or otherwise. He's trying too hard with characters like jar jar.

 

I want him to make some sort of 3D room where you could hold a saber handle and with a vizor, it would seem like you're holding a saber and you could fight etc. That would make a lot of money and would be fun as!

Other than that, perhaps stabilising the EU stats wise - you know, the real length of an SSD, the weapons, ships, whether the domes on top of the ISDs bridge are sensors or shields etc.

Gets really frustrating when it conflicts - oh, and I'd also say: Thankyou Mr. Lucas for introducing me to your exciting and fun universe - or something to that degree

Yes, but did he write all the tree first books? Because in YOUR books mad, they say it were different authors.

Actually, he wrote the screenplays and scripts, in tandem with other writers, but the books, at least RotJ, were adapted from Lucas' writings by other authors. My copy of RotJ says James Kahn (both my original 80's edition, and the trilogy book), and ESB is written by Donald E. Glut. Only ANH is written by GL... maybe that's why it sucked so much?

That's right. Mad has a valid point. I would first and foremostly thank him for the wonderful things he did, like the Force, and the cool ships. Then I would give him suggestions about where to go from there. I don't think he actually is in control of things like Rebellion. He probably gives the thumbs up, but probably has little say (or interest) in making them. Other people make the stuff and get him to okay it.

I'd be sincere with him I'd congratulate him for what he has done. The Force and the fantastic-mythic hue applied to sci-fi has been great.

But I'd tell him that he has screwed up some things, and criticize some of his worst decisions. And tell him to approve a little something called Rebellion II... Ah and hire the SWR.N Community as the Creative Department of that game...

Better not mention that to him Barkoa if you want your thing done. If i meet him, I would ask him to explain to me a few thousands things i haven't understood in his films, and why the hell, did he start by the middle of the story and not by the beginning like men usually do. I would also ask him to hurry up to make his last episode, because he could then pas on the TV series on EU, because i don't want him to die before they are finished, and i don't want to be deed my self before i can see all of them. Because seeing the time it is taking him to make them his films won’t be any science-fiction by the time they come out here.

I'm with a lot of you, although Rebellion II wouldn't be my primary wish; that would be the EU television series!

Which is exactly why it is so suitable for a series.

Yes i know, but you never start a long serie if you don't know its effect on the public, you usually start a one season (about 10 - 15 episodes) that are good by there self’s, but there you would need 10 to 15 seasons at least with out what happens before ANH. And that is enormous, 15 seasons is enormous for a bran new serie. I suppose that if the books where Best Sellers, they wouldn’t wait to the series. So you know what to do, by each 500 exemplars of each book, and arrange you’re self to get a few comments from the New Your Times, the Washington Post and a few other big newspapers, and you have your series in the year.

 

Ok, so if my calculation is correct, it will be:

5$ each book

x 50 books

x 500 exemplars

= 125'000$ . Ok who is for it??? Oh forgot the 25’000 for the newspaper article. = 150'000

It is more probable that most people don't have the money even if they wanted to. And you forgot to coun the posting fees.

I wouldn't go spending that much money because GL has turned too many people off SW with mediochre films. If SW was as popular as it was when it first came out, then maybe I'd look into it. THere're'nt enough fans who are committed!
