I just thought if you didn't yet know you may interessted by the fact that some guys are creating a mod for JK2 that will de DF but with better graphics.

That's if we ever get it. I know modding isn't the simplest thing, but these guys have been working on this for 14 months, and there isn't anything to show for it (in the way of downloads)? It looks interesting, but I won't hold my breath.

I overlooked that . It does look good, but I would have expected progress ot be farther along after over a year of developement, especially with much of hte resources already there since the idea isn't far off from Jedi Outcast.

Cutscenes will be tough as well!

 

And the new models, making the three different Darktrooper versions, plus the locations, textures... It is hard...

I read on their site that the one who was working on the cutscenes had just finished one of the main ones. And the project has already won a modding competition organised by lucasarts.

I can see the Dark Trooper models taking some time, as well as the cutscenes, but they really don't have too many textures they have to create. They are also making more work for themselves by re-skinning everything that was included in JO, like the stormtroopers. The new one looks nice, but so did the JO stormtrooper.

Why change what is already good.

Most people will answer to make something better but they are overworking themselves.
