 NVIDIA driver problem....I always use the Win '98 and the new NVIDIA drivers make the same problem on my Rebed and in the Rebellion Game ( Withe ship textures ) so I use drivers from 2003 or 2002 (I can't remember exactly now) from an old CD anway without the NVIDIA manager program...... Edited by Cain

I'm Having troubles with the model importer I do everything on the read me and it works fine (accourding to the program) with the exception of .rmd files but I get no log file and the ships models and textures are the original from the game

Ok, since it doesn't work, something in the set up seems to be wrong.

In what subfolder of your Rebellion dir is the model importer installed and is the .ini file pointing in the right direction ?

Did you copy all of Resource Hacker into the program's directory ?

Did you unpack all of the program's contents into its folder ?

Did you put the rmd file into the import folder ?

 Resource Hacker.

 Tactical.

 301 Folder.

 Locate present model to be replaced.

 Replece resource; close, medium, far.

301

entry #no.

1033

 Save

 Expand 303 folder.

 Click on 'Action' top-menu

 Click on the bottom 'Add a new resource.'

 Open Appropriate file/ship model to be used. Click on the first texture file to be replaced; the close one. For example, for Mask's new Carrack ship model, Carr_C.

 ***code***

303

(texsture name...)in our Carrack's case: Carr_C.bmp

***the whatever.bmp***is essential; you must rename the texture files .bmp! (without my bold!)

 Repeat process for close, medium, far rranges for the advanced models.

Some only use two. It matters not.

 Mask; Sorry bro; just outlining in a way I wish someone had done when I was dazed and confused; no rap on your excellent importer porgramme!!

But if you’ve set both entries in the rmodimp.ini file to ..\tactical.dll then you wouldn’t get this long directory name in the script file.

It’s quite possible, that the program set like this will look after the files to import not in it’s own folder’s import subfolder, but rather in c:\import\ …

Also the spaces in the path could be a problem, although they shouldn’t. That’s why I used the ..\ method.

the ini file was set to that because that was where my rebellion game was with the model importer inC:\..Star Wars rebellion\model importer but I tried copying and pasting the dir. out of windos explorer to see if that wouldn't clear it up but it didn't.

Yes, but it doesn't matter, where you install Rebellion. The ..\ just tells the program to look one folder above for the file.
