FOME Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 I downloaded all of the required items and did exactly what read-mes say to but I try to import new files and it never works on Reb Ed all the shipas are white and in Rebellion all of the ships are the same.
Cain Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 (edited) NVIDIA driver problem....I always use the Win '98 and the new NVIDIA drivers make the same problem on my Rebed and in the Rebellion Game ( Withe ship textures ) so I use drivers from 2003 or 2002 (I can't remember exactly now) from an old CD anway without the NVIDIA manager program...... dodododo Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 hi there, your message is a bit non-specific. Any chance you could clear up the request? Having problems importing models? cards? or other?
FOME Posted August 1, 2004 Author Posted August 1, 2004 I'm Having troubles with the model importer I do everything on the read me and it works fine (accourding to the program) with the exception of .rmd files but I get no log file and the ships models and textures are the original from the game
the_mask Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Ok, since it doesn't work, something in the set up seems to be wrong. In what subfolder of your Rebellion dir is the model importer installed and is the .ini file pointing in the right direction ? Did you copy all of Resource Hacker into the program's directory ? Did you unpack all of the program's contents into its folder ? Did you put the rmd file into the import folder ? http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
FOME Posted August 1, 2004 Author Posted August 1, 2004 the model importer is set in Star Wars Rebellion\model importer the .ini file is set to ..\tactical.dll on bothI have done all of that it still doesn't workbut does resource Hacker have to have its own folder in the model importer file
the_mask Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Nope, all the files of ResHack go into the model importer folder http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
the_mask Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Something still must be missing, though. Do you have a full installation of the game ? http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
FOME Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 yes.but I noticed thold fashioned way works though
the_mask Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 Sure, but the new one should do so as well Why don't you give me a list of filenames of what's in your model importer directory ? http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif

the_mask Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 Ok, looking good so far. What's inside the script file ? http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Jahled Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 Resource Hacker. Tactical. 301 Folder. Locate present model to be replaced. Replece resource; close, medium, far. 301 entry #no. 1033 Save Expand 303 folder. Click on 'Action' top-menu Click on the bottom 'Add a new resource.' Open Appropriate file/ship model to be used. Click on the first texture file to be replaced; the close one. For example, for Mask's new Carrack ship model, Carr_C. ***code*** 303(texsture name...)in our Carrack's case: Carr_C.bmp1033 ***the whatever.bmp***is essential; you must rename the texture files .bmp! (without my bold!) Repeat process for close, medium, far rranges for the advanced models. Some only use two. It matters not. Mask; Sorry bro; just outlining in a way I wish someone had done when I was dazed and confused; no rap on your excellent importer porgramme!! http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
FOME Posted August 4, 2004 Author Posted August 4, 2004 inside the script file is// Rebellion ModImp by the MASK [FILENAMES]Exe="C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Rebellion\tactical.dll"SaveAs="C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Rebellion\tactical.dll"Log=_logfile.txt [COMMANDS] -addoverwrite "import\close.x",301,"2060",1033-addoverwrite "import\medium.x",301,"2061",1033-addoverwrite "import\far.x",301,"2062",1033-addoverwrite "import\corv_c.bin",303,"corv_c.bmp",1033-addoverwrite "import\corv_f.bin",303,"corv_f.bmp",1033-addoverwrite "import\corv_m.bin",303,"corv_m.bmp",1033
the_mask Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 But if you’ve set both entries in the rmodimp.ini file to ..\tactical.dll then you wouldn’t get this long directory name in the script file. It’s quite possible, that the program set like this will look after the files to import not in it’s own folder’s import subfolder, but rather in c:\import\ …Also the spaces in the path could be a problem, although they shouldn’t. That’s why I used the ..\ method. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
GoldenShadow Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 make sure tactical.dll isn't read-only. This can occur if you copy it off the CD directly
FOME Posted August 5, 2004 Author Posted August 5, 2004 the ini file was set to that because that was where my rebellion game was with the model importer inC:\..Star Wars rebellion\model importer but I tried copying and pasting the dir. out of windos explorer to see if that wouldn't clear it up but it didn't.
the_mask Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Yes, but it doesn't matter, where you install Rebellion. The ..\ just tells the program to look one folder above for the file. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
