Unfortunately, yes. No offense to your country intended, it's just that here you can't turn on a radio or TV for five minutes without seeing or hearing those guys. Really, really annoying.

They are the ones who are number one in Roumania and France.

Very fun song. You hear it and it stays in your head for the hole day.

That's probably why it hasn't reached NA yet. Techno is pretty much only in dance clubs. I think we'll see it in about two years, as that is how far ahead Europe is from us.

Ahead?!? Techno is music's answer to the gutter. I cringe whenever I pass a radio set blasting out it's crap; am passed by a car blerting this crap out, or flick to a TV channel showing this rubbish.

 

It's about as musical as the sound I make on the bog.

 

For people with no taste, style, cool, or musical depth. Exercise your brain people, for god's sake!!!

I know that Techno seems like something in the past, but Europe is always ahead in trends for some reason. Heck, they're even ahead in tech! Trust me, if it's big here, it was so last year in europe.

I think is not techno but disco-funncky ....they go more twoards ABBA in my opinion....

 

Anyway that song is well known in Italy France and Germany also .....and the song was number one in Romania 2-3 years ago . They have better ones that the song you know.....actualy we have 2-3 bands that sing as well as they

 

 

It is quite strange to see an european song so far in front the US ones in music tops...probably if they will present it in US it will go up as well as for england ..probably nobody took it there for now

I, personnaly, love Techno. But you must make the difference between different kinds of Techno.

Hardcore I would admit is crap with basses booming all over the place and f***s and s***s everywhere. Far from being my favorite.

Trance is a music with lots of harmonic and not very bass

Techno is a bit like Trance with a bit more Bass.

I would also say that the music from the gutter would be French Rap. I mean what is that? People talking in french on a rhytm which changes every thousand songs. Thank but I prefer Techno.

Fair be my friend! Some techno perhaps does deserve merit(who am I to judge after all!), but I personaaly don't like it period.

 

French Rap; emm... I think rap largely died as a serious musical expression after it was hijacked by all that gangster crap. It never started off like that; even if you look at utter classics like 'Criminal Minded' by Boogie Down Productions(1987) and miss the point of what KRS One is saying...

 

Now, if you really want a head trip into the unknown...listen to some Japanese rap...

I have to agree with Jahled, techno doesn't figure in my own definition of music. As for Rap, I don't listen to much to it, not in english, not in spanish, much less in French or Japanese ().

As for that Rumanian band, I doubt it'll ever be very known here, (Techno is mostly played in Gay bars, rest of bars and discos have their infinite amount of tropical music), and techno is not very popular...
