Maalek Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Hi guys, the problem which I have is, that the zip-file which I downloaded had only the WARLORDSV0.29.Big -file. No shortcuts and no readme. I really hang in the air. If someone can e-mail me the shortcuts and readme which I need to sucessfull install the mod pls do it. Thank you very much! Maalek@gmx.de
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Actually, if you go to the website again and check under the Bugs area, you'll find all the information you need to install the mod History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Maalek Posted July 11, 2004 Author Posted July 11, 2004 Well I finally got it done, but where can I read about the game-modes? All the settings mean nothing to me (Dark Empire, Pre-NJO) ???? Is there anywhere a readme or a hp where is this explained? Which are your settings for a great solo and multipl. game??
bobandrubert Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 No time perionds. Kantana fleet you capter dreadnots. Privveter you capture fregiters.Best settings for solo play is no research all AI Hard.Max start money.25000 somthing 25 seconeds deathmathch. Maltiplayer does not work for me.
Maalek Posted July 13, 2004 Author Posted July 13, 2004 The music-files dont want to work, I copied all the folders in /music from the .zip-file in the homworld\data -folder, but no SW-music appears in the game!
Krytos Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 You just extract the entire sound folder, including the sound folder, into the data directory so it looks something like this: \Sierra\Homeworld2\Data\sound Then once you load/start a game, starwars music should be playing http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
Maalek Posted July 13, 2004 Author Posted July 13, 2004 does that mean I have to rename the swmusif-folder in sound-folder and than it should work??
Krytos Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 No, you don't rename anything. When you open the zip, select the 'sound' folder and extract it with all its contents to the data folder. The director should look something like this if you were to open it all:\Sierra\Homeworld2\data\sound\music\SWmusic etc. Hope this works http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 While the music does add to the game experience, I found that it was too choppy. I just use the CDs for my music. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Grand_Admiral_Pellaeon Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 While i too agree the music adds to the game expierience( its star wars ffs), unlike you i didn't find the music choppy. Hmmmm, maybe its just your computer and the fact that it takes up a lot of processing power. Jacen Solo: "What happened to the war?"Pellaeon: "It went away."
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 It's not that it's choppy while it plays, it's that the music will play through a "song", the start to play it again but cut off and play the next one. I find that the CDs provide a better experience. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Maalek Posted July 14, 2004 Author Posted July 14, 2004 Well, thats very nice, but I still dont hear the sw-sound and I installed it as it was here explained. I find this quite annoying. And hey Thrawn, IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS MOD IN MP.......CONTACT MEE. Thats the last time I tell you this.
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Lol. I don't use ICQ, but I do use MSN. My e-mail is highmage_13@hotmail.com, at least until I get my invite for g-mail. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
