Day 84: An Imperial task force destroys a fleet of New Republic ships in orbit above Yavin. Considring its Narra in overal Republic command, its not surprising. So the Imperials Blockade Luke Skywalker's Academy on Yavin IV and Mara Jade started there so... Character changes: Leia has been replaced with Mara Jade Mon Mothma has been replaced with Leia Solo. Emperor Palpatine is now replaced with Dark Lord Sidious as a reincarnation. Darth Vader has been replaced by Lord Draken, a Rapora operative thats worked with Sidious for over fifty years and leads the Raporan fleet. Jacen, Anakin, and Jaina Solo are recruitable on the rebel side, but their abilities are poor to reflect their lack of experience. Event Changes: Luke goes to Dagobah is now the Hand of Thrawn incident, Luke and Mara are married and Luke tries to come to grips with how he's dabbled in the Dark Side. Yavin's got Luke, Mara, Han, Jacen, Jaina, and now even Anakin on the world. Fortunately for the New Republic new ships have been streaming off the production lines. I've station a massive fleet...well not so massive, force over Yavin and intelligence warns me of an Imperial attack. Narra got demoted to commander, and is station on Task Force Solo Star over Yavin. Admiral Tallon is in overal command. The New Republic Task Force Solo Star around day 120 2 Imperial II Star Destroyers (Solo Star is one of them)3 Nebulon B Frigates6 Corellian Corvettes2 Assault FrigatesFully loaded with starfighters 1/2 X-wings 1/2 E-wings The Imperial Attack Force: 1 Imperial Star Destroyer3 Victory Star Destroyers4 Modern Action Transports1 Carrack Cruiser2 Nebulon B FrigatesAll loaded with Tie Interceptors with shields The fight wasn't over quickly but came out to be a definite New Republic victory...though the Empire was wise enough to withdraw before things became really ugly. Total Imperial Losses:2 Nebulon B Frigates destroyed by E-wingsAll Imperial starfighters destroyed.1 Carrack Cruiser disabled and scuttled by the empire in the withdraw. Total Rebel Losses:Only three starfighter squadrons survived...All E-wings1 Impstar lightly damaged.1 Corvette lightly damaged. The Sumitra sector has since been secured except for the occasional hit and run. Surprising the AI has been using Carracks and Nebulon Bs in tandem for those attacks. On another note its day 375 and the AI has finished construction of a Death Star over Vagran. It makes the game start with a bang An Imperial attempt to take my capital has been thwarted. A small fleet of imperials (1 VSD and transports. ) Got stomped by the New Republic home defense fleet (6 MC80s 2 Home Ones and support ships). Take that... The Hand of Thrawn event just occured...Luke's off meditating in some cave But I've still got Jade, get em tiger... The Empire built a Death Star... and with a fleet fo four Star Destroyers and a Carrack blockade the Ando system. I send Task Force Solo Star to destroy them... The Fleet jumps in and launches its attack destroying the death star and a Victory star destroyer... I lose the Imperial II Star Destroyer Rejuvenator. Whats funny about this? I'd captured Bevel Lemkis and he was on the Rejuvenator. The Death Star destroyed the Rejuvenator with its first shot, killing Bevel. He just got killed by his own superweapon!!! In other news, its day 470 or so and the Empire has deployed over 10 Super Star Destroyers... Its getting thick out there. But the New Republic / GFFA forces have about half that number of forces, but three times the worlds. They have control of the Core and soon the New Republic will launch an attempt to take the world of Coruscant, soon. Sad news for the Solos. In a mission to Carida, Jacen Solo was killed by the Rapora Lord Draken... Well, at least Jaina escaped the world. Currently Luke and Mara just single handedly liberated Obroa Skai from imperial occupation, as a team they're nearly unbeatable. Thrawn is on the Alliance side and has taken command of a force of Imperial II star destroyers that are ripping apart imperial worlds throughout the outer rim. The tide seems to have turned toward the side of the Alliance. Unfortunately the Empire has developed a new type of fighter, the Raporan interceptor and have used it to great effect against alliance starfighters. Fortuantely for the alliance the expense of building the Raporan fighter has made it impracticable for large scale depolyment. I'd estimate the empire has only deployed fifty of those craft. There haven't been many fleet to fleet battles of note. An imperial blockade of Corsin is most likely to be the next setting for a major battle, once I've moved enough forces into the region to destroy a sovereign class super star destroyed. Cain Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 I know that feeling ...well try the TC and if it will not be a plesent exploratory surprise to you...you can call me a monkey on the forums I recomand you to play Imperials on medium hard ....to bad that I can upload the 2.5 since the Imperial AI is better there ..... Also put all probes and y-wings probes to 200 espyonage and 200 combat .....belive me it is essencial for an agressive AI .....he needs to see before and attack ...and probes don't see characters so ...works for me. Okay to business, I've begun completely rehashing the mod to match the new plot line I've developed for the Rapora Wars. Unfortunately it means I'm going to spend allot of time working on it. All Imperial units will be hereby removed and replaced with Vagaari, Rapora, and other evil forces. I'll need to rework allot of the worlds to accomadate the post NJO setting...
