Episode three will end, or begin, with a massive space battle, since so far episodes one and two have followed the original battle formula for star wars movies.

Yeah, I reaaalllllyyyy hope there's a capital ship naval battle in Episode 3

 

Also, episode 2 has the ground battle on Genosis - like the battle of Hoth

I kind of suppose the dreadnoughts will appear in ep3 since they were meant to be very precent in each side's fleets.

I am not sure what those ISD looking capital ships are in called in EP II but they will probably be in it.

they are called victory class ships.

Actually what he refers to don't do much, they're mainly drop ships from the stats lucas released. Of course I'd love to see a major fleet battle with dreadnaughts and the Victory class Star Destroyers, probably won't happen though...Large scale space battles are actually kinda rare in Star Wars films.

Actually, they're Acclamator-class Troopships, the precursor to the Victory-class Star Destroyer.

 

Acclamator-class Troopship

developed and manufactured by Rothan Heavy Engineering, the 752-meter-long Acclamator-class trans-galactic military transport ship was designed in support of the Army of the Republic. Measuring 752 meters in length, the Acclamator could carry up to 16,000 clone troopers, 320 speeder bikes, 80 LAAT/c or LAAT/i gunships, 48 AT-TE walkers, and 36 SPHA-T vehicles. The ship was created for the Republic, rather than the Trade Federation or the Separatists, after several Kuati officials were murdered by the Federation at the Eriadu Conference. The Acclamator-class ship was the first ship produced, and was designed to carry huge numbers of troops and support materiel into battle anywhere in the galaxy. What made them unusual for a capital ship was that the Acclamator-class could move through planetary atmospheres as well as the vacuum of deep space. This meant that separate dropships were not required. Each of these massive ships was armed with 12 quad turbolaser turrets, 24 laser cannons, and four projectile launchers. It was crewed by 700 officers, and was equipped with a Class 0.6 hyperdrive in order to get troops into battle arenas with maximum swiftness. The Acclamator was distinguished as the first ship capable of carrying out a Base Delta Zero order, something never seen in the Old Republic until the onset of the Clone Wars. In most design respects, the Acclamator was the predecessor of the Victory- and Imperial-class Star Destroyers.

 

 

And I wouldn't count on Dreadnaughts. They're EU, and we've ALL seen how much GL cares for the EU.

The ep III battle above a planet that starts with C. includes the standard Republic Acclamators and the Separatist vessels, although some of McQuarries older designs and sketches may be seen in the background.

Carida? Corellia? Commenor? Corfai? Craci IV? OH, you mean...

 

I still don't see any mention of the ships I REALLY want to see in your list, Trej: Victory Star Destroyers, Dreadnaughts, Battle Horn-class Bulk Cruisers, Galleons, etc. Oh, well. Maybe they'll at least introduce the Y-Wing and Corellian Corvette.

Think again, Mad!!! What's the only C-Planet Lucas knows of. And it's not CAlderaan, nor CTatooine, nor CHoth, nor Cyavin IV, nor CNaboo! nor Corellia!

 

The same applies for the ships, unless there are some McQuarrie VSDs and/or Dreadnaughts I find it unlikely that we'll get to see them, the Corvette is a possibility as is the TIE!

Um...the Noghri are from the planet Honoghr...that doesn't start with a 'C'.

I would not be surprised to see an early version of the TIE in EP 3.
