Ah, why not, I just want to know...

What's the coolest of them capital ships appearing in the SW movies so far?

I think I can guess the answer, but...

EDIT: By the way, I voted for the Home One type wingless Calamari Cruiser; just because I think she's so beautiful.

hmmm . . . tough call.

I've always liked the ISD, and the Mon Cal cruiser (preferably the Wingless design) - but my real favourite cruiser isn't in the movies: Defender class Star Destroyer

So, I'm gonna have to vote for the ISD

The Corellian Corvette is pretty cool; I liked the modifications on Night Caller: A high-power Tractor Beam, Holocomm system, Capability of launching 4 TIEs (or 9 X-Wings 8O )...

And the most classic scene of all times...:

Empty starfield, camera swings down slowly to reveal a yellow desert planet. A Corellian Corvette swoops past, firing her Laser batteries onto the enormous grey wedge-shaped ship following her...

SSD, preferabbly the mark II design. More heavy turbolasers, less ion cannons, hidden shild generators which were what doomed the Executor and the Razors Kiss.
I once knew a great man. Nothing got to him, and he always smiled. May he forever rest in peace, knowing fully well that his freinds shall remember him.

I've always liked the Corvette, infact pretty much anything Corellian, though it's too weak and doesn't have any real punch to it - personlly I prefer the Corellian Gunship.

Interesting fact, the Corellian Gunship's design was originally going to be used instead of the Corvette - though they didn't because it looking too much like some other ship from another movie, don't remember what :?

I voted for the SSD, and as we are talking about them in the films I still find it unrealistic for a Super Star Destroyer to be taken out as easily as Executor was at Endor. I put it to the Lucas- rebels must win syndrome. Oh well just a lasting grumble at my side being cheated out of its' rightful victory over the weaker rebel scum.-Grand Moff Conway

Tough decision, I was torn between the wingless MonCal and the SSD.

But given the more organic looks I voted for the MonCal.

Ps: the HomeOne is a wingless Mc80, but rather its own subclass. The normal wingless was also a Mc80, as the winged one, but referenced to as "pearly wingless" (http://www.hyperjump.net/swguides/mcguide/mcguide1.html) [/overcorrectness]

Wingless "Home One" Mon Calamari Cruiser for me, followed closely by the ISD, though for different reasons. The "Home One" is a graceful yet powerful design that serves as an appropriate counter to the hard-edges of Imperial warships. However, the ISD is a true symbol of capital ship might, and the intimidation factor of its appearance alone is a big plus. Edited by Texas_Fett

The ISD was the greatest of all capital ships. It struck fear into everyone. It was the first true Capital Ship.

That's my two credits.
