Which brings my next question:

Why was Boba so intent on Bounty Hunting even after he had plenty? Was it the love fo the chase or thrill for the action? Or was it something else?

Usually, when you find something you're good at and can fit it into a career, you tend to enjoy it. What would he have done after he made his money, started up a corperation, settled down, get married, have a few little Fetts, maybe buy the speeder equivilent of an SUV and spend his time watching his son's hover-ball games  Probably wouldn't work out oo well. Though I'm sure a sweater-vest would go nicely with the armor.

He did sort of change his occupation once the war started. in TUF he was on that space station fighting the Vong with some other commando type guys in Mandolorian Armor.

Its the Fett's Mandalorian cultural background that explains his behavior. Mandalorians live for the honor of battle, they want, perhaps even need to fight the best in the galaxy to prove themselves. They really didn't care about wining or loosing all that much either, it was the fight that mattered.

Why did Boba fight the vong, they were a new untested foe, and an invading force, there was allot of honor to be gained fighting them. The same goes for solo, after being stalemated Fett decided that Han was an honorable person and let him be. Basically Mandalorians are allot like the galaxy's version of the samurai, fight for honor until death in battle or old age. I mean just think, how old Fett is by the NJO 8O

Fett's about the same ages as Solo, a couple of years older. Nothing like a Veteran Bounty Hunter to liberate some worlds, is there?

But were Jango and Boba actually Mandelorian? And even if they were, I'm sure that GL would change what was said in KotR. He did it with the books...

Edit: Apparently even my MSN group is having trouble with my avatat. Anyone else having the same problem?

Avatar's have shrunk... :?

I don't know if Jango is Mandalorian, I think the crappy Jaster Mereel story they had made up for Boba they now attribute to Jango.

A datapad full with BH info? Like Jango's 500 Do's and 10 Don'ts or A Fett's guide to Bounty Hunting, best cantinas, arsenals and crimelords or maybe My First BountyHunting Book, or Bounties from Alderaanian to Zabrak.????

I'm not sure how he could have a data pad from Jango in a book, as it would contradict everything we believed until GL destroyed what was held as fact. Before Episode II we all thought that Fett started out as a Stromtrooper, killed his officer, became an outlaw, killed a Mandelorian, took his armor, and had Kuat specially build the Slave I. I guess it could have been in one of the Ep II books, but I haven't read any of those.

Me neither, Thrawn. I have yet to see a prequel book that would interst me enough to read it. The one thing that I have been reading though, are the Clone Wars Comics, that are superbly wriiten and the art is top-notch. You even see a Tusken Jedi! :D

I've never really paid the Comics much heed, but Ccomics revolving around the Clone Wars sounds good. I'm probably a bit behind, but I'm sure I can find all the "old" copies.

I've never been realy capticaved by the prequel stuff. Some how the Republic isn't as interesting as the Empire or the New Rebulic, even with all those Jedi around.

Well they aren't that old. The first appeared in January, and I belive the fourth is either on it's way soon or it has just been released. Trust me, you will like them. I never was much for SW comics until now. Although I always loved read'n the ol Punisher.

Now GAT understand this:

Jango was prepared for the eventuality that he may not always be there for Boba. So he prepared a databloc which would instruct Boba on the technics and methods for survival. So Boba just recuperated the armor of Jango and became a Bounty Hunter like his "Farther".

and BTW Jango got the Slave one from a prison facility while "saving" a prisoner and destroyed the other ships of the same model.

I'm one of the fans that thinks "the truth is where is was covered first". I Know that Lucas sort of brushed off the old ideas about Fett, but I like them better. The idea of having a ship given to Fett (either one) is a little boring. But, as that's the way things are, I guess i have to accept the truth.
