The Pride of Yevetha, A.K.A The Intimidator, was a Mark II SSD, the only real difference being a backup sheild generator. After the Imperials revolted during the war, and took back the fleet, the headed to byss, to find in destroyed. From there, Several of the vessels went to the NR, a large group of them went to Pelleon, and the Inimidator vanished. Best guess, is that the chiss caught it, and blasted it, thinking it was a threat. The NR found it several years later adrift in the Unknown Regions, damaged well beyond repair.

For once, i have no detailed info. Interesting.

The average imperial didnt know about Byss. The sytem the imperials used was hardwired into all Star Destroyers in case of mutiny, i think. Captain hits a button, ship goes straight to Byss.

Maybe they did know about it, and changed the hardwire setting int the destroyers they captured. Maybe the Imperials didnt even know about it, and the captives just stumbled across it one day. Maybe only that fleet had it.

So many possibilities man, give me some time to limit them!!!

As for stumbling onto it, i doubt thats the case. I remmeber it being mentioned ion the bokks that they had been planning for years to do this, so im guessing that they knew about it before hand.

As for the New republic being interested in the old system, would YOU be interested in trying to take on a sytem that housed that much firepower? I would sonner leave it the hell alone.

Maybe the reason the system existed, was BECAUSE of the yevetha. Maybe some higher up thought that it might be a good idea, just in case the yevetha tried something...

Which is why i doubt it was on all star imp vessels. My guess is just that fleet, for one reason or another.

maybe they didnt think the yevetha would be able to stage a takeover that quickly, and that the commander would have enough time to evacuate the fleet.

Yes, that is true. But no one ever said the empire was intelligent, now did they?

And besides, the labor was cheap.

hey, everybody makes mistakes. Lets not forget the NRs fleet mothballing efforts right before Thrawn appeared.

Oh, right....

Yah, if they had known, i dont think the Yevetha would have been alive long enough to do much of anything. But then the yevetha wouldnt have been able to get slaughtered by the vong.
