:arrow:Version 2.3 is up running in the old 2.O place.

 

 

:arrow: The PTESB 2.3 has the AI improuved for the Imperials .....more story from SM and also original SW names for ships from SW books (To bad that the AI is mixing them....but since this is an alternate dimmension things can be mixed).

 

 

:arrow: Also the "String too long !" error is fixed by adding the Encytext.dll inside the download.

 

 

:arrow: Inside the INFO file is more complete alowing you to folow the corect 4 steps for instalation.

 

 

:arrow: I have worked the whole weekend tryng to improve the AI responce. I was useing Lord_La_Forge , Stellar_Magic and AdmiralFishface feedbacks.

 

 

:arrow: Our aim was not to make more "Lucas realistic stats" but to obtain a fun and difficult gameplay with incrised AI agressivity in an balanced game with also new stuff to explore ......so if you have real stats from books pls. inform DeathSquire36 who is manageing for the RDB II the creation of a P II in the Lucas dimension. [Rebellion : The Empire Strike Back].

 

 

:arrow: AGAIN - The Version 2.3 is in the old 2.0 place :idea::wink: same link......I needed to repeat that :)

 

 

:arrow: I have only plans for the 2.4 version with graphical improvements for the Tactical mode ....but this will not be soon :wink:

 

 

:arrow: Don't mod the stats :idea::!: It will upset the AI and you will lose AI agresivity.....stats mods confuse the AI :!::wink: The only stats that can be moded without upseting the game balance are the character stats :idea: ...if you feal like spiceing up Dessan ...go for it :D

 

 

:arrow: If you have suggestions for a better gameplay pls. contact the RDB II :) I'm sure that now the AI will be a pain in the but :wink:

:arrow: I named in the new download all the files that need to select and copy over the old ones ....do you Know how to select/copy/paste a file ?

 

 

 

:arrow: Be specific....Pres right clik (mouse) ..drag over all the required files ...then give right clik and pres copy....then go in the specifyed folder and give right clik and paste ..... You must do that two times for to different files :) Then load the TC with RebEd.......Now do that and tell me where you get lost :wink:

:arrow: I'm, sorry Bill I've tried the best I can to explain....baslicaly you have to take some files from the download and put them over the original ones :(......maybe my english is to bad......but one day you will figure it out...:)

I've played it for a while know (great work!). Don't know how much exatly, but the AI does seem to be more aggresive in your TC.

 

Although, the AI's behavior is quite hard to change.

It could be, I'm wrong but the AI is more agressive, when he plays the rebels. Could be in my game only...

Cain, I've been playing the new TC for a 100 days or so. I like the new design of the galaxy, models, people, etc. But I'm curious how you made the AI better. So far there have been some minor engagements but no battles. And how do you ensure that they build fleets with gravity ships ? should their costs be lowered? But a great job you are doing.

Well I've just been doing some tweaking with the build costs and offensive fire power. I'm going to keep tweaking until I get the AI to work like I want. :twisted:

:arrow: Well if you look closley you will see that the stats are almost the same like in Rebellion :)...it's a question of very fine tunes to the numbers :)

 

 

:arrow: First you don't have to confuse the AI ....then folow the stats line from Rebellion......then help the AI without helping you so the balance is keept..... :idea::wink:

 

 

:arrow: Well what if I tell you guy's that a simple number can affect the whole TC.....usualy I made him by trial and error and also spyng on the AI with the treitor program.

 

 

:arrow: About the Imperials ....hmmm....they will not attack from the start cause they first do home diplomacy then supply their ships with TIE's ......and then go for your main fleet.

 

 

:arrow: The Rebels don't need home diplomacy so they will attack more fast :)

 

 

:arrow: Well I'm working on the 2.4 wich do to the new art stuff and incrised difficulty I will actualy make it 3.0 Ace Expansion Patch....I am tryng hard to make the Imperial AI more aggresive from the first day's also ......but I can't change their prime directives :(......will see .

I've been trying to get the AI to use some ships in historical amounts...

 

Lost fo Corvettes, A few less Carracks....

 

Its really been alot of trial and error but I think I'm almost there. :wink:

:arrow: Do you know what is the Rebellion game folder and the RebEd folder ?....answer pls.....also do you know where you have this folders in your PC ?!....search for them pls.

 

 

 

:arrow: There are some files in the new download that you need to put inside this folders (files).....do you know what files ?

Ya Cain, if it is not too much trouble, I would like use the proggy on the AI so that I could set the best possible settings for them.

 

Ok it is in the mod tools in the new 2.4 version. Due to a shortage in time I was not able to completly test it so the AI improvement can now be erratic and will not always work....or the oposit.

 

The Damn RebEd blow up my work....so on regards to AI it is possible a 2.5 version to come someday but far far away :)

 

 

What the new option is doing well is linked to and old option and acts in the same time but it is a beta and not always work propelry :(
