Now I have no idea on how to edit .dll's or anything, so I was wonder if it's possible to make it so that to move your personel you would have to move them on a ship, and the same for fighters. If anyone knows how to do this please tell me. and maybe if you do know how put it in a .txt format and put it in the download section in case anyone else wants to know how to do stuff like this. O and that reminds me, is there any place that gives like a tutorial on how to edit .dlls?

Thanx for any help you guys can give me

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :( I don't believe anyone has been able to accomplish those things. It would possibly be even more difficult than finding and editing the speed at which characters currently travel between worlds (which at this time has never been done).

Removing the hyperspace capability in RebEd should force the fighters to enter carriers, even for the AI. Except, of course, if they are built to a certain location.

As for editing dlls, try my first modelling tutorial, at the end it centers on editing with Resource Hacker. Alternatively you could also search for posts, where people wrote about that program

EDIT: Soltaris, that avatar is a stroke of a genius

Sorry Alpha, changes to DLLs only allow you to change the resources (strings, images, etc) that are hard-coded into the game. What you want would require the source code to Rebellion, which none of us have.

Simple way to change DLL entries is to use the DLL Entries feature of RebED. :)

well i think that anyone who's reading this gets the point that it's pointless to persue changing the hyperdrive capabilities any further.

So i will ask this instead, Evader, you said that the easiest way to change dlls is in rebed, i've never been able to understand how to get started, and i'm pretty good with that stuff (exept for the getting started) so if someone could tell me how i can open the files i need to change things. i'll try looking myself but... i guess you never know, i might get it this time

Easy, just open RebED and go to Dll Entries. Search for an image you want to click, right-click the image to either save it to your hard drive or load a new image.

Zeblork's DLLEntries.txt is an expanded version which identifies more images you can change. Download that from our Download area.

 or you could try the DLLEntries from the P II Beta Relese they have like 450 entries with all essencial stuff :)

 if you want to change the Rebellion dll's not the RebEd ones tyr ResHacker

 I usualy work like this.

 I see the stuff with Mask's Resource Viewer (Very fast And safe) then incorporate it with the RebEd ...DLL.ENTRIES option. For Hardcore mooding & changeing I use the ResHacker
