SPARTIAN300 Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 (edited) Does anyone know how to turn off the natural disasters? I hate building up my fleets and having to take them away because of resources. If they make another game of this they should make it where your items on planet be destroyed but can be replaced over time. This means you don't lose energy after every disaster but you will have to replace lost items like shields, mines, refineries, and etc. Edited May 3, 2004 by SPARTIAN300

Lord_La_forge Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 There is no known way to turn them off, but anyway, WELCOME ABOARD Spartian!
Jahled Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 Yes there is! I addressed this a couple of months ago and figured out it isn't as natural as all that! It's linked with success in the game; for the player or the AI, if you're to hard and successful without measure, and to rapid, against the AI you'll get stung with a crap natural piece of frustration. I've almost forgotton the remedy to paper, but it went something along the lines of go for sectors but leave one vunerable system standing... heck! Explore the answer you must, cause I is checking out! http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
SPARTIAN300 Posted May 4, 2004 Author Posted May 4, 2004 Thanks for the reply guys and the welcome. I just wished I knew about this sight years ago. It is a cool sight. Some of you know me from the old Zone, I used to visit alot before they got too weird. Ever since I first started playing Rebellion, I can't put it down. I may stop playing for awhile but I will feel the urge and start again. Thanks again from a new member........................... Yeah... we're pretty weird here too...
Mad78 Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Spartian300don't forget that if you play long anought you should finish by discovering new resources on some planets. still be careful for if you have activated the resource manager c3po will promptly replace them with mines. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
SPARTIAN300 Posted May 12, 2004 Author Posted May 12, 2004 Thanks for the reply Mad78. Right now I am playing a game of rebellion on the hardest level. I started out the game as the Empire and had the best ships, all of a sudden the rebels were advancing faster than I was. My fleet was starting to get the upperhand and a diaster on Unmgul took me back a few notches. Now there isn't a lot of resources on the planet and it's not worth putting shield generators up because of low resources. So the planet is up for grabs if the rebels decide to take it. I hate the natural diasters and I hope if there is a second Rebellion they make this an option to check. thanks again Mad78...........
Mad78 Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 Don't forget that NDs can play with you imagine:Your mate is crushind you and is preparing a fleet to finish you of.A natural ressource could slow him down and let you take over a few planets. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
