Cain Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Well I am stuned ! I can't belive my eyes !.....maybe nobody will replay here but it was a day to remember for me. Since before the WWII Germany was never defeated in this way. 5-1 ,5-1..... Kahn took 4 goals in 45 min !..... Trejiuvanat Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Actually the German National Team isn't really that good, and after the match against REal Madrid it's evident that Kahn isn't one of the best anymore. World Cup 2002 wan't really that good either, and Germany had an easier route than Brazil, Germany's first stage group was nothing, Saudi-ARabia, come on!, Cameroon, Ireland??? Paraguay wasn't that rough in the second stage and South Corea (Italy or Spain should have been there instead of the Coreans!) I doubt that Germany will pull out a decent Eurocup, most likely they'll get kicked out early.Good for Romania, though! Hopefully they'll be in Germany 2006! Is Hagi still the National Trainer? That was a great player! http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Jahled Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 I noticed this a bit earlier tonight as well; enjoy Cain! Germany's worst away defeat for a couple of decades I believe; but Trej is right, internationally they're a bit wobbly of late. Arsenal have got their number two goal-keeper at the moment who seems all right. Still havent lost a Premier-league match; about three games to go... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Trejiuvanat Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 Yes, Lehmann! That guy played pretty well with Borussia last season and as Jahled said, is doing a great job in Arsenal. Three matches to go and they'll put up a new record for the Premiership, not a single match lost in the season, something that hadn't been done since 18-something!!! http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Cain Posted April 30, 2004 Author Posted April 30, 2004 Yes that is true Germany is not so good these days but is still Germany , man !...and a 5-1 ....that is a humiliation Nope Hagi is not so good training a team.......Iordanescu is doing that now (the General) - The Trivium Organization - Community Manager -- Petroglyph Fan Forums - CoAdmin & Human Resources Manager -
the_mask Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 For years now I haven't watched them play, except in the Worldcup, because they are simply horrible these days.I watched the first 45 minutes of that game though, rather by accident. When I saw the second goal I knew, that they had already lost and called my uncle. He hasn't been watching them for even longer and wasn't surprised at all by Kahn's performance. Actually we refer to this reeeaally amazing keeper only as 'the gorilla', cause he always jumped around in his "cage" that way. I've even heard a few years ago, that during matches of Bayern München people used to throw bananas at him Personally I never thought he was that much of a keeper and certainly not one of the world's best. Those all play for Brazil Well, while we were ranting about them (he didn't turn it on, out of protest) I saw, that this wouldn't remain the last goal and when my call was finished it was 4:0. Next day in the news I heard, that it ended 5:1, what a shame. Personally I would've immediately fired everyone, who played in that game. Did you see our coach ? That's Rudi Völler, who played with the team, that won the worldcup in '92 against Argentina. Now that was a real team, although once they had a 2:0 lead they'd also play turtle...Later, under coach Berti Vogts players like Bobic and Möller (aka: the leaker) started to behave like spoiled brats and simply played like amateurs. Worst of all, they won most of the team for their rebellion against poor Berti and you all saw the result in that european cup back then. The thing is, the players don't get nearly enough money for playing in the national team, than they get in league games, so why should they bother ?So here's to the lazy German football millionaires, why don't you retire, if you don't want to play I'm certain there are younger and better players in the league, that would gladly take a chance to show their talent and let's face it, they couldn't be worse. If the team stays in that formation, then I sincerely hope, that they will not make it further, than the first stage and sent home. Maybe then someone will start to think and for once not fire a brilliant coach, but the unwilling players. Hmm ... relax, I must ... not worth, it is.. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Jahled Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 Hmm ... relax, I must ... not worth, it is.. A famous Manager of Liverpool, Bob Paisly I believe, said: 'Football is not a matter of life or death; it's more important than that!' http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

Indeed the best football player play for Brazil or Argentina, no wonder Qatar, Kuwait and co. are trying to nationalize young player from those countries to play for their national teams. I'm certain there have to be other younger players screaming for a chance to play with the team. And there have to be other trainers too. Did you see our coach ? The euro 96, I remeber that one, I was living in Germany at the time, I really had hoped that the Czechs would win. Hmm ... relax, I must ... not worth, it is.. Indeed the best football player play for Brazil or Argentina, no wonder Qatar, Kuwait and co. are trying to nationalize young player from those countries to play for their national teams. The first few years he got pretty angry, when they threw his food to him, until he once grabbed one and took a bite I think that somehow put the fun out of it and it gradually ebbed. This idea of nationalizing young Brazilian players has something, yeah Spoiled brats? Wasn't in '94 when Effenberg did what he did? The euro 96, I remeber that one, I was living in Germany at the time, I really had hoped that the Czechs would win. Yep, that was 'the Effe', as that gesture was called. Cost him a lot, IIRC. But if I remember it the right way, he got into the team after a lot of the successful players from '92 retired. '96 was just the last nail to the coffin, in my opinion. They really didn't want to play, 'cause they wanted to get rid of the coach, so they rather lost That's what I think each time Costa Rica is humillitated because of the stupid decisions of a) The fat lazy and stupid U.S. American Steve Sampson, b) The fat lazy and stupid members of the Costa Rican Football Federation and c) The fat lazy and stupid Mexicans that keep saying that Costa Rica isn't a rival in the area. [/i]Maybe we should start a club, or some men's group, like the AA: "Hi, my name's Mask and my team lost terribly."Chorus: "Hi Mask !" http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Trejiuvanat Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 There you have it again, Mask one more friendly lost. But at least your team gave La_Forge a chance to smile proudly at his team http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
