Trejiuvanat
As many of us know, the OT will be released in DVD in September, sadly GL has decided to release the Special Edition rather than the original threatical release. Anyway, I found this site linked from TF.N. It's a french site with the packaging alternatives for the 4-Disc-Trilogy. I personally like Imperial collection the most. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
the_mask
Now, if you're also scratching your head, asking yourself where the link is, it's here:http://www.kamuiweb.com/sitev3/html/modules/news/article.php?storyid=808 I can say but one thing about this release: It's about time What took you Oh yeah and if I can get my hands on it, I might take the Jedi Vs Sith package http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif

I did copy it... I even previewed it to check if it worked... Thanks for putting it up mask! I like Imperial collection because the Impstar hull somehow reminds me of the Rebellion package.. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
the_mask
Maybe some problem with your villip The ISD hull would be my alternative choice, but I'm still waiting for an official release date for the German version. Finally I can also hear the original lines and complain about translation errors. A buddy once lend me his US version of EPIV, it was fun to hear ObiWan with a kind of an Scottish accent. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Jahled
Due to my PC being a pile of junk, I am unable at liberty to click on any of the said given url links... HOWEVER!! Will the original DVD's also contain any of the legendry removed scenes, such as a Royal Guard giving an Imperial officer 'Force Pike' authority as seen in the 'Star Wars Action Figure Archive?' One drools uncontrollably at the prospect... given all i've got is...err...some dodgy Chinese DVD's that worked upon their own accord... and are no longer in my possession... cause I lent them to 'a mate' who has cleanly vannished... from the view! Such is life. His knee-caps will be mine to post to his mother. Thoughts on appropriate packaging. Any other DVD collection I could forget, but my dodgy; half-working Chinese Star Wars original trilogy is BIBLICAL! Gosh... watching the highlights of the Oscars has made me very theatrical... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

Indeed, those DVDs of yours deserve a place of honor in this site, they contributed greatly to our modding efforts. I don't think they'll be featuring any extra scenes, I know there are some deleted scenes on Bespin, I'd expect some other of the Battle of Endor, but I don't believe that Lucasfilm will release them just yet.. If the do at all....What's that"Star Wars Action Figure Archive"? What else is there other than the that Force-pike? http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
the_mask
But it will be a 4 dvd release, surely they can pack enough stuff onto the fourth one, so that all of us drooling fans will be satisfied Jahled, you got a link to that ? http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Texas_Fett
The 'Jedi vs. Sith' one seems silly for the OT, especially since Yoda isn't even in one of the three movies. 'The Final Conflict' one looks a bit bland. 'The Imperial Collection' at least ties in the subject of the opening scene from each movie: that being an Imperial Star Destroyer. And, as Trej noted, it does bear a striking resemblance to the packaging for Rebellion... Speaking of deleted scenes, there's always the Luke/Biggs ones from ANH, the Darth Vader throttling Jerjerrod and being threatened by the Royal Guardsmen on his way to the Emperor's throne room after he was told to remain on the Executor, and the 'sandstorm' scene after Han is rescued. Five of the Greatest Lines in the Star Wars Trilogy -"As you wish..."-"He's no good to me dead..."-"What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me."-"Put Captain Solo in the Cargo Hold"-"AaaaaAAaaaaaa!!" Fett's VetteThe Lyrics

Umm, you do remember the little green guy teaching Luke in EP5 and dying later in EP6, right ? He doesn't wear a saber, but he's there. I also heard about a scene, where Kenny Baker drove R2 into a wall http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif

Texas_Fett
Umm, you do remember the little green guy teaching Luke in EP5 and dying later in EP6, right ? He doesn't wear a saber, but he's there.Hold up there, Mask! Read that again...he doesn't appear in ONE of the three movies, that being ANH. So if he's not in one of 'em, why put his grill on the movie packaging? Speaking of deleted scenes, there's always the Luke/Biggs ones from ANH, the Darth Vader throttling Jerjerrod and being threatened by the Royal Guardsmen on his way to the Emperor's throne room after he was told to remain on the Executor, and the 'sandstorm' scene after Han is rescued.Wow, didn't know about the second one, but I got a baaad, uh goood feeling about this. I also heard about a scene, where Kenny Baker drove R2 into a wall I'll have to find the site that has a couple of pictures from it. I ran across it a few weeks ago... Texas_Fett
Okay, here's a few sites that talk about the deleted scenes:http://www.zuul.co.uk/swunknown/DeletedScenes/DSep6.htm http://www.starwarsjunkies.com/ep6deleted1.htm http://galactic-voyage.com/Return%20of%20the%20Jedi%20Cut%20Scenes.htm http://massassi.yavin4.com/sw/m6lost1.htmhttp://massassi.yavin4.com/sw/m6lost2.htm (I used the throttling picture for my “Empire – Retire Character” pic in Rebellion.) Someday...someday these scenes will be ours! Five of the Greatest Lines in the Star Wars Trilogy -"As you wish..."-"He's no good to me dead..."-"What if he doesn't survive? Jahled
Someday i'll be in possession of a PC that allows me to click on your cool links, Tex! To the cybercafe tomorrow I guess! BTW: Trej, the 'Action Figure Archive' is a book detailing those little bendy-plastic figures that has helped made GL such a wealthy man, and is undoubtably why he insists on NP having at least twenty costume changes per movie. To me it's more a reminder of my childhood making wierd gunshot noises in my bedroom back in the 70's, but it is crammed with other information, such as the titilating reference to the deleated scene in ROTJ I mentioned... I briefly went through a phase of buying these bendy figures again with the relaunch of the Hasbro line, but became disillusioned when I realized just how much of a con the whole thing is. A lot of the releases couldn't even be described as toys with any playability from a kid's point of view, just stuff to course a stir amongst collectors and in specialized magazines where the price kinda gets made up and up. I guess. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

To the cybercafe tomorrow I guess!Um, 'copy and paste' doesn't work for you either, Jahled? Dang...we may have to, like, take up a collection for you or something. Or establish a Non-profit organization to fund raise for "Jahled's Kids". "Yes folks, now is your chance to help poor, deprived Jahled and his children to have an internet connection that's up to specs for the 1990's. It doesn't matter whether or not he has kids...what matters is that he cannot click hyperlinks. HYPERLINKS, ladies and gentlemen. So for a small donation of $10, $20, $50 or $100 (or in Euros, if you'd prefer. Why the bloody HELL did they ever decide to scrap the pound?) you could possibly receive an e-mail or PM from Jahled, personally thanking you for enabling him to resuscitate and/or replace his antiquated PC with one containing a processor manufactured in the last five years, enabling him to continue his quest of maintaining a repository of porn to rival Bill Clinton's. Your help is most important, ladies and gentlemen. Operators are standing by; please make your checks out to: Texas_Fett, 1335 Broadway, San Antonio, Texas, 78238. I'll make sure the monies go to where they're most needed".
