Or they all just save up for the 2nd production factory, the X-7.

2) When they are attacked, AI's will try to just spam defensive platforms, which then you counter and that's all they do for the

3) When they have that, all they do is spam corvettes, frigates, and low tier destroyers.

4) After that, then the computer try to work up to the cruisers, which they hardly produce

Maybe there could be a way to set the different AI to have different attack/playing styles?

You know, have one AI play as like a corvette/fighters with heavy destroyers, or one that uses fighters like crazy with some support untill they get crusiers, or one who uses their forces as defence untill they can mount a crazy counter attack... etc etc etc

Main Issue 2

AI seems to be kinda dumb (hehe...i called a computer dumb!)

5) AI attack in a straight line, unless they see your resource collecters, in which they just attack automatically. Kinda predictable

6) AI do not use cloak, hyperspace, tactics, or any sensors or anything like that

What's of having hyperspace/cloak sensors when the enemy doesn't use it?

I suppose for multiplayer, but not everybody plays the mutiplayer, or have people on to play multiplayer.

This is the only thing i'd like to see be changed, and i'd be one happy camper.

I'll get around to donating soon, i'll think.

Thanks for the awesome work you do!

0.60

Development releases 0.6

THIS DOES NOT NEED ANY PREVIOUS VERSIONS, 0.45 or CLONEWARS, they are obsolete so either archive or remove them.!!!!!

SWMUSIC.Big has not been updated, you will not need to redownload it.

Duel and facilities should work now

occasionally the mining ship will eat miners, move the mining ship and they will detach

icons, balance settings, heck a lot of things are mucked up. I am a Java programmer by trade and by hobby. So much so, that a few years ago I built a strategic galactic conquest game called Empire vs Republic. It went on for a couple of years and had nearly 100 participants from around the globe battling for control of the galaxy. It was a fun game, but had limitations.

Five years later, I have finally finished the core programming on the next generation of that game. I call it Galactic Simulation, or GalSim for short. Basically, you can read up about it at http://markb50k.dyndns.org:12345/gal_sim , where I give a little history and some of the features provided. I also give pics and stats for all the ships you can play in the game. All ships are in a top-down 2D view and the models are heavily simplified version of alot of old SWNR and warlords models.

In short, if you liked Rebellion but wanted more control, or like Empire At War but would love to have dozens of players, this game could be up your alley. Build ships, launch attacks, mine resources to fuel your war machine, whatever you want. And all the while, you could command a fleet of star destroyers, like we all have wanted to do.

This game is designed to be content-intensive giving you eventually alot of options on how to make your fortune, plus the ability to see your units down to the individual fighter. Anyway, I hope I have interested you enough. Check out my site (I am NOT a web designer, so it is REALLY REALLY basic) and write me if you want to sign up. Once I get a few people signed up I will start the game turn engine and the war will be on.

Thanks in advance for any interest.

Next update?

I downloaded this mod around December of last year and played it to death (awesome job, props to the maker), but lately some of the more annoying problems have been ruining the experience for me.
