You could start out as a soldier or low ranking officer, then rise through the ranks with an experience base level up system. You could upgrade your tactical effectiveness with different unlockable bonuses that can be used during battles, and specialize in different areas of combat (special ops akin to Republic commando or rogue squadron, fleet/ground commander eaw style etc.). Your squad/legion/fleet could have customized design options. Additionally, for another rpg twist, the campaign mode's story could be affected by certain decisions you make (think star fox 64, but more complex and up to date). You could also defect, perhaps sell information (with the risk of being exposed). As say, a fleet admiral, you could promote or demote different subordinates based on their tactical prowess (think kotor party management mixed with the tech level upgrade system in Age of empires III/ Age of Mythology).

Each mode of combat (e.g.: BF-like skirmish mode, Republic Commando-like special ops squad mode, tactical mode, etc.) could also be played sandbox style, either through a main menu or an ingame option; for multiplayer or single player.

Thoughts?

Super Hero ideas: discuss super hero ideas

Here's one of mine I wrote a couple years ago: I wrote it in the campy style of the spider man radio program and 60s batman tv show (Sorry about the format; indentation translated poorly from microsoft word). The character is based on a seemingly invincible comet feeder fish I once had (whose name was comet).

                                                   The Adventures of

                                                 Comet the Super Fish!

                                             Comet and the Belligerent Bivalve.

It is the first week of the salmon fly hatch. Thousands of salmon flies head for Blue Bay to ensure the survival of their species. And at the bottom of Blue Bay sits the underwater city of Icthopolis. Icthopolis depends upon the salmon fly hatch as part of the Icthopian diet. On an average day, Icthopolis is peaceful, yet bustling with aquatic life.

But today, something smells fishy in Icthopolis; and it’s not the inhabitants! The evil scientist Dr. Shellfish, a selfish oyster bent on ruling the world, has designed a terrible device to aide his takeover of Icthopia. Zoo keeper Fred Flounder is concerned about this threat. But before he can investigate, he must change into his alter ego. Faster than a speeding pike! Stronger than the jaws of a Great White Shark! Able to lift up to 500 times his weight: Comet, the Super Fish!

His identity concealed beneath his mask and cape, our hero makes a bee-line for Dr. Shellfish’s secret lab. He breaks down the door with his powerful tail and bursts into the room, blocking the main entrance. Dr. Shellfish swims towards the rear exit.

“Not so fast, Shellfish!” Comet shouts.

“You’re too late, Comet!” Shellfish snarls. “Nothing can stop me now! Once I activate my Algae Ray, the Bay will fill with algae. The Mayor will be forced to adhere to my commands! And then Icthopolis will be mine, MINE!! Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha!”

“You can’t do that!” demands Comet. “The massive amounts of algae will suffocate the city! I won’t let you do that!”

“…which is why I’ve called in my best mussels to deal with you!” Shellfish snaps his shell closed and opens it again. All around them, doors burst open and dozens of mussels burst into the room, surrounding our hero. Dr. Shellfish swims to the exit. “So long, Super Fish!” He locks the door behind him and gets to his Algae Ray’s transportation craft.

“I’ve got to stop him!” exclaims Comet in desperation.

“You heard the boss; you’re not goin’ anywhere!” says one of the mussels.

“We’ll see about that!” Comet retorts. The mussels start rushing towards him. He knocks two of them away with a swat of his tail. He smacks away another with his right fin. One mussel manages to clamp onto his left fin. Comet slams it against the wall of the lab, and the mussel releases its grip. Another clamps onto his tail. Comet swims up to the glass window in the ceiling, slamming the mussel against it. The window shatters, glass cascading into the lab, bouncing harmlessly off of Comet’s scales.

Free of the mussel, he soars through the empty window pane, using his super senses to follow Dr. Shellfish. He can see a trail of algae leading to Icthopolis. “Flipping flounders! I hope I’m not too late.” Suddenly, he feels something. “My Super Senses are tingling!” He turns around and sees a swarm of mussels chasing him. “They must have been following me; I’ll have to loose them!” As he turns back around, our hero sees an enormous octopus also heading for him. He sits still, watching both the octopus and the swarm of mussels race towards him. “Wait a minute, I have an idea!” He sits still, waiting for the right moment. Then, just as the octopus spreads his tentacles to devour our hero, he uses his Super Speed to dart out of the way of the impending collision. The swarm of mussels and the octopus meet head-on; both parties stunned.

Taking advantage of this, Comet grasps all eight tentacles and envelopes the unconscious mussels with the octopus. Using his Super-Strength, he spins the octopus around rapidly, the tentacles gathered in his mouth. Once he has the desired speed, he lets go, sending his assailants soaring off into the distance. “That was closer than a chitin on basalt!” he exclaims. He then resumes his desperate flight.

Meanwhile, in Icthopolis, Dr. Shellfish has begun to unleash his Algae Ray on the City. Algae begins to fill the water in thick clouds.

“Citizens of Icthopolis!” he shouts from the top of Sturgeon Tower, his voice amplified by his loofah microphone. “I, Dr. Shellfish, the greatest scientist in all the seven seas, am willing to spare you, but only if you cooperate with my demands! Submit to me, and I will show you mercy!”

“Stop right there, you bloated bivalve!” It’s Comet to the rescue! Dr. Shellfish is enraged.

“Comet? But how- what did you do to my mussels?”

“You all right, Doctor? You seem a little steamed there.” Comet taunts.

“Get him!” Shellfish yells. More of his mussels speed towards our hero. Comet aligns himself properly. Then, just as the first mussel is about to hit…

CRACK!

Comet smacks the mussel back at the Algae Ray. He does this over and over, until the machine is riddled with Shellfish’s henchmen. Suddenly, sparks skip across the surface of the machine. And then…

	BOOM!

The Algae Ray explodes in a plume of hot bubbles.

“My Algae Ray!” exclaims Dr. Shellfish.

“Now its time for me to clean up your act!” Comet begins swimming rapidly in a circle, making a small whirlpool. The whirlpool sucks in the algae, clearing the waters of Icthopolis once more. Then the whirlpool catches Dr. Shellfish, who shrieks as he is pulled in:

“I’ll get you, Comet!” Ignoring the oyster’s protests, Comet then launches the massive ball of algae out of the water, nearly missing a picnic table on the beach.

Back in Icthopolis, the citizens rejoice, and Comet is awarded the Medal of Honor for defending the city.

                                                                The End

Tune in next time for the next installment of The Adventures of Comet the Super Fish: Comet and the Mole Crab King!

Note: for added fun, have Word 2003's microsoft Sam read the text. The word emphasis is humorously inaccurate.

PFF Public Service Announcement : All users must read!

Attention PFF community!:

I really hate to see a grand community such as this go down so sadly. Apparently the Chinese (and whoever else in the world) breed animals and treat them worse then cows on slaughtering day. The farmers grab the animal and smack them on the ground as if they were dead (which they aren't) and then hanging them up on hooks cutting off their skin while they're ALIVE. Any normal European, European Settler on North America, or the Japanese would kill the animal first before helping themselves to it. Heck even other animals kill the animal to shut them up and stop moving.

So in short the animals are breed, picked up and hit on the ground like a rug when alive, beaten with a stick on the head (like seal clubbing), hit on the ground again, hung on something while being cut with a knife while alive, beaten, kicked, laughed at while being beaten, and etc.

Who the heck even wears fur? I only see rich people wearing it during parties, anime characters for plot device, and maybe in fashion shows. Thats the only time I see them on someone. I seen Europeans and Canadians kill an animal first to make fur coats to survive the harsh winter, but only the traditional people.

Favorite sci-fi ship

From any sci-fi: SW, ST, SG, Firefly, BSG, etc.

post its name and a pic (if available), or more if you like.

Mine as an example:

Slave I (Firespray - class patrol ship)

http://www.javierayuso.com/starwars/ships/Slave.jpg

Gundam Photoshoot

Well it was a nice bike so I went biking on Saturday, I even took my Gundam figures with me. (From PF to Spore now to PFF)

Sylphs are cloud entities that eat up chemtrails and keep our air clean. Whenever USAF and UN planes fly over your area you get those trails that stick for hours or even days and thats harmful for you. To combat this you need a device called a "Cloudbuster" or a "Orgone Generator". A cloud Buster is a simple road based device that attracts negative energy and brings out positive energy to the area. It helps improve the weather and gets rid of these chemtrails you see in the air. Then we got Orgone Generators which help make your area more stable making people and everything more positive.

If your a skeptic and want a sake of argument I recommend you try the below and put it in your backyard. Wait a week to a month (or maybe even a day or few hours) to see the weather improve and smog clear out. Before saying this is impossible at least try it out then prove me wrong. I read people's comments saying how much fun they had pissing off the USAF and UN chemtrail sprayers.

I'm not safe also so I'll try this out:

http://www.metatech.org/Images/chemtrail_satellite_photo.jpg

Whats best for the Enviroment

Well I haven't tried it but I read stories and personal comments saying at how much this device below works. It pulls negative energy in releasing positive energy back out into the surrounding area. Also I read comments that if pointed at a low tech UFO you will scare it and be repayed with a broken part or damaged something of your property.

http://www.metatech.org/cloudbuster_&_..._generator.html

One such comment says when he put up this device it cleared his area of any harmful chemtrail effects and even had helicopters, planes and such going back more then needed only proving those who used this simple device to say how it works. Chemtrails disappear swiftly as if it was never sprayed in our air helping the Sylphs (Cloud entities from our earth, Jupitor, and Saturn). Its a simple device and may cost you only up to $100-200 the most. If you get sprayed by these chemtrails they will disappear only to have planes and helicopters fly lower and spray more only to have them waste their efforts. Well now I can clear my neighborhood of smog and messed up weather (since its supposed to).

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=BIR2Qh3WMss

Well don't believe me? You don't have to but you can at least give it a go by at least trying it out. Maybe research it seeing who else has it hearing their stories while using such devices. However if you do such things be careful at how you use it since I hear some minor problems which can be overcome (i.e Headaches or energy sucking out). I recommend people try out the rods grounded to the ground to be on the safe side and learning as much as you can about this. At this point I'm still seeing what people say about this.

In brief:

The first link shows a device that improves weather in your area, gets rid of chemtrails and smog. Anything else I have yet to find out but it sure as heck helps the Sylphs get rid of other Chemtrails around America and the globe.

Spring Break!

When is/was your guys' spring break? Mine is next week (17th - 21st). ;D

New Computer

Hi guys, well as you know I'm in college and will be done in a little over a year. However I'm going to be getting myself a new computer (buying the parts and assembling them myself). I'll let you guys know what I end up getting. It should be pretty nice.

Expanded info: budget < $2,500, Uses: games and maybe other things like rendering or editing videos.

I do have a monitor, keyboard/mouse, and other accessories chosen. I'm using ddr2 ram, and have a hard drive and dvd-burner already in mind.

Smilies Invasion, Pedro Alonso's new game

Hello, my name is Pedro Alonso and I've created a game called "Smilies Invasion". We have alot of weapons, but could we survive an attack by the ruthless Galactic Empire? Our massive armament of nuclear weapons might protect us from the ground invasion but could they bring down an Imperial Star Destroyer? As an avid reader of Popular Science I have begun to notice that with the advent of the second term of the Bush administartion we have been increasing our high-tech weapondry systems. Laser defense systems ( Crusader Gunship anyone? ), EMP bursts ( Kryat destoyer? ), etc etc. So would out 'slug-throwers' be able to penetrate Stormtrooper armor? Could out tank's go toe-to-toe with AT-ST's? What about the fearsome AT-AT's? Would our Hornets and Stealth bombers perish in vicious dogfights against TIE fighters?

Well here's my opinon. Lets assume for arguments sake that a fleet of three ISD's come out of hyperspace above earth. It is the present day mind you. Imagine Independence Day if you will ( the movie not the event! ...idiots... ) Our country is on high alert but wish to make peace with the 'visitors'. The Imperial is here to survey the planet and dertermine it's importance to the Empire. Imperial officers order force to be used if there is any resistance. As they proceed to land and survey the planet, protests and riots begin.

"Kill the invaders!" is the general outcry. The UN and other militray leader's tell the Empire to leave or they can expect war. The Empire views us as backwards apes but out of respect ( we are human after all ) they give us a chance to take back our bold request. No go. The war begins. The Empire looks for a quick but brutal solution. To my knowledge, ISd's have no point defense systems so they would be succeptable to missile strikes and nuclear warhead attacks. So we launch a few ICBM's and the ISD's are destoryed. Or would they be? Imperial gunners are well trained. With the lighter anti-fighter guns could they shoot down the missiles? Probably not. We have alot, like over 2700 alot. So what do the ISd's have left. A little thing called shielding. There are two distinct types of deflector shields: ray shields, also known as energy shields, and particle shields. The first type protects against energy-based attacks, such as blaster or laser cannon fire, while the latter was developed in response to physical attacks, ranging from projectile missiles and incoming vehicles to asteroids and meteors. Commonly, larger ships and structures were protected by both types of shield, though starfighters often only projected ray shields. So what does an ISD have? A ISD-72x shield generator dome protects the Imperial Star Destroyer, no matter what the class. They project both ray and particle shields. So technically an ISD could destroy the incoming missile with its particale shields. But could it prevent 2700? Who knows? On land I belive we could have a decent chance but I think slug throwers wouldn't penetrate Stormtrooper armor, unless it's a sniper rifle or a bolt action rifle of some kind, presumably. I have no experience with weapons outside of videogames. AT-ST's could be taken down with Javelin anti-tank rockets but AT-AT's probably would be close to unstoppable unless the other Imperial vehicles and troopers around it are destroyed, we could proabably screw with it and plant some C4 or something. Well thats about it.
